Assassins Creed: Revelations

Try entering the codes in the redeem code section within the game title screen.

Just started playing this last night, loving it so far. The hookblade is a really cool and fun addition to Ezio's arsenal.

I can't anymore. I used them already in the XMB redeem code section, it says they're invalid.
I think this may be the same problem I had. You said it was the Signature edition right? Because those were the codes I entered in PSN but it didn't prompt me to download anything so I thought it was an error. But apparently that's supposed to unlocked the content in the game, which means its already there but the code makes it available.

I was able to play the Vlad mission, but I got a code for weapon upgrade instead of an outfit so I don't know how to help you there, though I assumed it would have to be the same.

The code that came with the Signature Edition contained the Vlad mission, ammo upgrades, and the ottoman jester MP character. I got the Turkish Armor code from the Gamespot giveaway, and both codes worked when I put them in but they didn't prompt me to download anything. They're there in my Services List, but the content isn't anywhere in the game.

I might just call Ubisoft Customer Support later today and ask them what happened. Maybe they can give me a new code or something.

I'm enjoying the game, however it keeps freezing to load every 30 seconds. Infuriating. Also, the story is pretty weak so far. There is no sense of urgency and no real villian like the borgias. Kinda disappointed there but I'm only on memory section 5 so I'm hoping it'll pick up.

I would say the story focus is more mature than the previous games because it ISN'T about a central villain. Instead of just being a matter of ticking off each villain as Ezio kills them all, it's more about Ezio himself, as a mentor, a broken hearted lover, a father figure to Suleman, on top of the mystery of who is behind it all. And at the end of the day, he's a foreigner in a strange land and the fight really isn't his, not like it was with the Borgias etc.

Yeah I thought the story and character development for Ezio was much stronger while the action was not as heavy. The focus was definitely more on the narrative.

See, I thought the action was better as well. A lot of those vehicle or acrobatic type levels felt a lot faster paced. It's like what they tried to do with the Da Vinci missions in ACB but much, much better designed. I still love the first few chapters with Ezio, and that 'raising the chain' mission is so god damn epic, every single time I play it.

Well when I say the action was not as heavy, I mean in terms of how much of the game focused on it. Like there's 9 chapters, but one where you don't fight or do anything but walk. There wasn't as much action or fights as there were in the past, but at the same time, the times when there were, it was much bigger than a simple swordfight. So while there were plenty of big action sequences, the majority of the focus was not on those moments like it had been with the boss fights with the Borgias.

I think the main thing it's missing are all the side missions ACB had. No assassination side missions and only one mission for each faction.

Yeah those would've helped. The biggest thing I didn't like and it was the same case with why I really disliked ACB at first was the shortened story. ACII had 14 memories (12 initially plus the 2 DLC) so it felt like it was a long journey, especially given how far Ezio came. But these two only had 9 memories, which I know has more to do with the addition of MP than anything else, but I feel like that was part of the reason why I'd rank ACII as the best one yet, simply because I had the best experience playing that one.

I know ACB had some DLC missions that had its own story, but I wonder if they will do the same with ACR at some point. The game already seems complete on its own but I wonder if they add something that might give a stronger hint towards the next game.

After beating the game, I take back what I said about the story. Yes, everything about the game is on a smaller, more intimate scale, but being able to step back and look at it as a whole, I find it to be a nice end to ezios tale. Would I have liked a more rounded and full story? Sure. I would ave liked to have seen more of ezio as the leader of the assassins in Italy among other things; he never felt like it here. I was dissatisfied with some of the game play. There weren't nearly as much stuff to do, and I only got the defend mini game once. But over all, I enjoyed the game.

SPOILERS

Can the ending really be New York? Because it's supposed to be November/December isn't it? The cut scene looked like summer.

DIY Assassin’s Creed Arm Blades Sure Look Scary!

5:30PM Yesterday | Brian Ashcraft

A guy in his bedroom, with a dangerous sleeve weapon. No, you’re not watching Taxi Driver, but rather, YouTube user Angelegend showing off his arm-blade. You know, like the ones in Assassin’s Creed. More »

cool ain't it? justv hope some people don't get any idea and cause problems with it and make more trouble for the video game community . otherthen that. that's pretty sweet.

Enjoy and discussions in session.

That looks like a perfectly efficient weapon if what you want is to be able to stab yourself in the palm of the hand at your own convenience.

So I recently finished this. It's amazing, the ending has me wanting more.

Ezio seeing
Altair's skeleton followed by the memory of Altair, cutting back to Altair
was pretty emotional.

The quality of the footage on the Embers DVD that came with the collector's edition was awful...

After searching for a while, I found a Bluray rip online. They should have included a Bluray copy rather than a DVD copy...

Anyways, yeah, the ending of Embers is also really beautiful. I love how
content Ezio is just before he dies, the little smile really sold it. His speech at the end along with the music is amazing.

I love seeing home made versions, but this one is by far the best that I've seen:

Hmmm. I may wind up having this problem. I haven't started Revelations, yet. I just beat Brotherhood and am working on finishing The Da Vinci Disappearance, but I input those redeem codes into my PSN account and didn't download anything either. The content showed up as if I unlocked it, but no download.

I thought it said to use the code on the PSN account.

I FINALLY finished this game this past weekend. Man is it long. I have to say I still prefer ACB to it though. After finishing it, I still dont really feel it was a necesary title.

Is there a splitscreen offline multiplayer mode in this game?

I don't think so. I finally just finished this game and I really enjoyed it. I liked the story and I'm sad we won't be playing as Ezio anymore because I really loved him as a character. It was great to play as Altair in a game that does him justice as well. The hookblade is the greatest addition to the series since the original hidden blade, it has so many different uses and those ziplines are amazing. What this game made me more excited for is Assassin's Creed 3 because of how each mission was completely different yet they were all very exciting to play and because how good the storytelling has gotten. Not many games out there make me care about the characters like these past few have with Ezio.

Assassin's Creed III Coming In October

Ubisoft today confirmed when it will release Assassin's Creed III this fall.
The game will arrive on October 30, 2012, the publisher said. No other details were announced.
"We will push the title a lot because it's a fantastic product that the team has been working for three years," said CEO Yves Guillemot. "What we have seen is just fabulous."
Ubisoft also said it shipped 7 million copies of Assassin's Creed Revelations so far through December 2011.

Haven't really followed anything about this game after release but I just saw this in the PSN update thread.

Assassin’s Creed Revelations – The Lost Archive ($9.99)
Explore the mysterious pasts of Subject 16 and Lucy Stillman in 2 hours of all-new singleplayer content using the innovative narration style and puzzle-platforming gameplay pioneered in Assassin’s Creed Revelations’ present-day Desmond sequences. Also included in this pack are a bonus singleplayer mission which unlocks the terrifying Vlad the Impaler Sword, a variety of armors and weapons for Ezio and three new multiplayer characters.
File size: 692 MB
I still haven't finished the other Desmond sequences, but I was hoping that we'd get a new DLC pack similar to the Da Vinci Disappearance or the Christina memories from Brotherhood.
