Assassins Creed: Revelations

Finishing Brotherhood then it's straight to Revelations, can't wait.

Nope, and I kinda hate that, even though the horses used to piss me off in ACB.

oh man that sucks. I already rank AC2 and ACB above this gamebc of that. I prefer the maps from those games more than this one. Its too dense/compact and I missed how spread out the other areas were with horse travelling

I'd rank this one slightly above ACB. I really hated how short the game felt, especially since I had just played ACII for the first time right before I got it. Even though ACR is the same amount of chapters, the story sort of makes up for it with all of the Ezio and Altair stuff.

As for the maps, I also kinda hated Rome because it almost felt too big. And I hated having to travel around a cliffs to try and find a hill to walk up just to get to a certain location. I haven't had that happen to me at all in ACR.

Why would you possibly need horses when you can Zipline everywhere with about 10 times the speed it would take for a horse to get around the very non-flat landscape of Constantinople?

bc riding horses across the conutryside was fun

I dunno, I always found those countrysides quite empty. I'd rather a denser world.

maybe, but I liked having multiple cities and travelling between them. I guess its why I always loved San Andreas more than any other GTA locale.

I think that's why I didn't like Rome. Most of the time I was riding across empty land to get from one side to another. It was pretty boring. But I also like ACII and how you could travel to different locations. You can kinda do the same in ACR with the different islands, but its not the same.

I definitely agree about loving multiple cities but I think the ACB countryside was much more interesting that Tuscany was in AC 2, as far as everything outside of a city. I think AC 1's countryside was loads better than AC 2's

ACB had the most to do with the countryside and had the best in terms of that but I loved AC 2's locations in that it had very diverse cities

Thinking about picking up this game to take some time away from Skyrim. I've heard this game feels rushed though. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I wouldnt say rushed but it definetly feels more of the same. I thought AC2 was a vast improvement over AC1 and ACB was an improvement over 2. ACR doesnt feel like an improvement over what came before. It seems more like a lateral movement. Not necesarily worse, but not necesarily better either. With this game, it feels as if the series has plateaued.

Really? The way I see it, ACII is leagues above AC, and ACB is a bit of an update to ACB and ACR is a huge update to ACB (that's in terms of gameplay). In terms of story, they are all very great - especially the revenge plot in ACII, the "Rising Glory" in ACB and the remorse and father/son plots of ACR.

I loved ACR - my favourite Assassins Creed game because of the father/son symbolism and the parallels between the three assassins.

Any interpretations of the ending? Also, where do you think the next one will take place?

One of my main complaint about Brotherhood was that it felt and looked nearly the same as ACII, especially since we saw part of Rome at the end of ACII. I always felt like ACB was just an extended version of ACII, almost like some kind of DLC pack that wasn't worth the full price.

But with ACR, I actually felt like things were much more different. I mean graphically it looked sharper, and the faces looked more realistic in certain ways. Plus the combat felt a lot more fun with new counters and even though I'm not a fan of Den defense, it's still an attempt to change things up. I think its definitely an improvement over ACB, even though I'd say ACII is still the best.

So wait, the PoE that Desmond has now - is that one a fake? Altair says "tell them I sent it away - to Cyprus" and then Ezio takes that PoE from Rodrigo which the Templars recovered from Cyprus. Then Ezio locks it away in the Coliseum for Desmond to recover - but then why is it that Altair is buried with his PoE? Anyone else think that the one the Assassin's currently own is a fake?

I'm assuming when they get it, Desmond will also retrieve some of Ezio's equipment that he left behind for him.

EDIT:
Just found this
Here is what I know, most of this I read from the Assassins's Creed Wiki.
There are many Pieces of Eden that have been created, and according to the wiki, the locations of 50 have been given, as shown on the map shown to Altair after Al Mualim's death.
Six Apples of Eden are known. The one Altair uses is the second Apple, and after the events of ACR it finds itself in the hands of Queen Elizabeth 1 of England and Mahatma Gandhi, until it was obtained by the Templars and destroyed in an accident while conducting experiments under Denver International Airport; they were trying to use it with a satellite so that they could use its power to alter the minds of the globe.
The one Ezio obtains is described as the sixth Apple, although it was never given a number. In 1506, Ezio hid it in the Colosseum Vault, and is later discovered by Desmond at the end of ACB. This is the Apple we see in the van at the end of ACR.

At the end of ACR we see a city of Those Who Came Before/First Civilisation being destroyed by some kind of solar flare. This is the disaster that has been predicted to occur once again in 2012. The location that the Assassin team arrives at is New York City, where the coordinates seen at the end of the ACB Da Vinci DLC point too, this also looks like the place Jupiter directed Desmond to as being a Vault for all the information collected from the different solutions the First Civilisation came up with to stop the disaster. Looking at the cutscenes at the end of ACR, it is possible the city we see being destroyed was located where New York City is located now.

Hey guys, I just got the game for Xmas, and I put in the codes for the Turkish Assassin Armor and the Signature Edition content, and I don't see any of it in game. Does anyone know why?

(I just started Sequence 3, if that makes any difference.)

Press start, go to inventory and check your outfits.

I know dude, it isn't there. None of it is there. And the Vlad the Impaler mission isn't on my map. I checked the Ubisoft website, and they said it should be there before Sequence 4 (which I'm on now).

Did you definitely put the codes into the right menu, the game start screen menu?

Also, you need to go to Sophia's book shop first to find the map to Vlad's prison in the back of the shop, which then unlocks it on the map.

Wait, are you ****ing kidding me? The code that came with the game specifically told me to go to "Redeem Code" on my XMB. If that wasn't the right place to enter it, I'm going to be really pissed off.

Alright, I'll try that. Thanks.
