Assassins Creed: Revelations

This is exactly what I'm thinking. I can't see them doing essentially the same thing with another character without it feeling like the same story all over again.

Ubisoft's going to make their money once the series ends on the movie versions, so no worries. xD
I thought there was an article on IGN a couple of weeks ago that basically said the movie plans were pretty much dead unless Ubisoft and Sony decided to change the way they were doing business.

But anyways, I've always compared the franchise to the Matrix in that there was the "main" story with Neo that was covered in the films, but an even bigger history covered in various other media like games, books, and animated stuff. With AC, its pretty much the same.c The main stories have been the games with Desmond in the center, but there's a lot of history behind the series with other assassins and time periods that have been covered in books and comics, so they definitely have a lot of areas to explore. I'm just curious to see what they will do for AC 4 since its likely they will be starting something completely new there unless they set something up in ACIII that doesn't involve Desmond.

Well, there's this.

http://www.joystiq.com/2011/11/04/report-assassins-creed-movie-deal-gives-ubi-too-much-power-pu/

"Sony Pictures is working on a deal with Ubisoft to secure the film rights to Assassin's Creedd; however, Vulture reports that the deal Ubisoft got is so heavily Ubisoft-leaning that it may make the film impossible to actually finish.

The deal grants Ubisoft approval over most aspects of the film, including budget, cast, script, and even release date. "As a director, even Steven Spielberg cannot get this kind of deal," Vulture was told by an "insider" who didn't really need to stay anonymous for that.

With Ubisoft in charge, and retaining the right to stop production at any time, there seems to be a concern among the interviewed studio heads that Ubisoft would do just that if it didn't like what it was seeing -- or that it would continue to make demands too demanding for any movie studio to deal with."

I'm glad that they want the majority of control. They're the developers of the game, they should have a say on pretty much every aspect of the movie.

In case you can't wait for the BF next week, Walmart is selling it now for $40

Ugh!!! I got the game, went home, and as I was making lunch, my roommate swiped the TV. I thought she was asleep, but she was out getting lunch and came in as I was cooking, sat down, and turned on a f****** Monique movie...

I hate how they still haven't changed the way that the enemies look like ragdolls when they're dead.

Boneless limbs and all that...apart from that, it's great.

I just got back from Walmart and the dude told me Assassins Creed is suppose to be 59.99 but is ringing up 39.99. Don't know if that's a promotion or what but I went ahead and snagged it

Did anyone else get the Signature Edition from Gamestop? I entered the code on my PS3 to redeem the extra mission, ammo capacity and MP character, but I wasn't prompted to download anything and now I can't redeem the code again so I think I might've lost lost out on that promotion.

Jeez, it's not even out for a full day and already has a price drop.

But I can wait for less. Skyrim and Skyward Sword can hold me over. Uncharted 3 is higher up on my purchasing queue anyway.

Just go in your download history and it'll be there.
That's just the thing, it's not there. The last thing I have there is the uPlay pass that I redeemed right before I entered the other code. I've really been hating all of the download stuff for games recently because I always seem to have some kind of issue with the PSN. But this time I used a wired connection to make sure things downloaded faster, but now its like I can't even redeem it anymore.

Seriously? Damn. o_o

Maybe try later?

Sometimes even though it's the release date, the DLC still isn't up in the online stores.

Happened with a lot of people for Arkham City...

Yeah, I'm going to try to e-mail Ubisoft or something later. I just did a quick search on it and apparently others have had issues with either the code not being there or not working properly. But I certainly don't want to go back to Gamestop because it seemed like they didn't know anything at the store that I got this at.

But I least I got the soundtrack and short video to download on my computer.

There isn't any DLC. It's already on the disc. The code just unlocks it.

Beat Revelations. Confused at some parts.

1.
How did Altair get a second Apple? The Templars got the Apple from Cyprus in AC2. Meanwhile, another has been sitting in Masyaf?

2.
What exactly did this game reveal? We had a hint of New York from the Da Vinci Disappearance, we already knew the world was ending.. all we got was details, like how many humans were left after the First Disaster and how many plans TWCB tried and failed to do. I feel as if nothing was revealed at all.

This game promised to answer questions but I still don't understand! I love this series, I can't wait for some hopefully real answers next year.

How did you already beat it?! It's not even been out for 24 hours...

I sure hope so. I asked a friend of mine and it did the same thing so that could be the case, although I'm surprised that they didn't clarify that because there was no info listed when I entered the code.
