Yep. Cant wait for this one. Which was the same with AC1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc.

Awesome AC Unity cosplay:

Funny, but still annoying how "offended" the internet is acting over it. Ubisoft does one AC game without a female protagonist and everyone loses their mind. If the game had competitive multiplayer it would still have options for female assassins, they just didn't include one in the co-op or story.

Well to be fair, its just a really, really vocal minority thats whining. Most people who will pick up AC: Unity come October don't give a s**t.

Not too thrilled about the phantom blade. The crossbow in AC Brotherhood took out a lot of the challenge of eliminating guards silently, because you never had to get near them.

Looks great. I'm so far behind on this series though!

I think it's pretty lame to eliminate the option of a Female Assassin when the other multiplayer modes on previous games have allowed it.

This is suppose to the next gen.

AC Unity has no competitive multiplayer at all. Safe to assume with the jump to next gen, they focused solely on the campaign and will add the multiplayer in the next game. The co-op, which is a new feature, has clones of the new protagonist that your friends use.

If Ubisoft had released their standard multiplayer and had eliminated any option of being able to choose a female assassin, I'd get why people are complaining. Ubisoft just decided to go strictly campaign this year, and threw in co-op to satisfy those that want to play with their friends. It wasn't anything malicious on their part.

Assassins Creed: Rogue

New current-gen AC game that's supposed to lead into Unity, set during the 7-Year war, where you play as a Templar.

It's apparently a link between Unity and the Kenways.

Fr those of you keeping score at home, that's one Templar confirmed as an ally (Elise), one Templar who gets ahold of the Apple (Napoleon), one trailer where you're part of the mob attacking the old order (co-op trailer), and one where you're fighting the Reign of Terror (Elise reveal trailer). Combine all that with the Rob Zombie cartoon, and I'm thinking they're going to embrace the sheer chaos and shifting factions of the era. Which means that I'm calling that at some point Arno will find himself facing another assassin in conflict (maybe Robespierre, or maybe someone else), and assassin who's gone too far.

Now the historian in me wants to have Arno interact with Fouchet (head of the secret police) and Talleyrand (high ranking minister). Both men were known for somehow surviving each coup and revolution and always looking out for number one, and anyone who's seen the Black Book movie knows Fouchet can be all sorts of slimy untrustworthy fun.

Im really really digging the new movement animations. So stoked for this.

So apparently Elise's father was the Templar Grand Master who raised Arno after his biological parents death. Kind of explains why he has a soft spot for her. But it raises the question of why the Grand Master took him in. Was he trying to raise the boy to be a Templar like Haythem Kenway? Or was he on good terms with Arno's parents, hinting at yet another point for a "unity" between Templars and Assassins during the Revolution?

Who knows, but as Iv said before the lines between the two sides have been greying since ACIII, so it'll be cool to see that expanded upon even further.

I never got AC4 because I was pissed with how AC3 ended. I'm one of the ones that actually liked Desmond's story and the modern gameplay. So to see it all build up for it to end the way it did, annoyed the hell out of me. But Unity I would have gotten if I had an Xbox One. And Rogue for the 360 isn't my cup of tea. I just don't see the appeal really. But I'll probably watch some walkthroughs of both. Unity looks epic and I love the new movement mechanics. Soon he'll be friggin Spider-Man.
