They made a statue of her it's likely . We'll see though

Maybe she will become a playable female Assassins and star in Unity 2 :D .

But if pandering creates more diversity in the stories, isn't that a good thing?

I really don't like the HUD in this game. That rectangular map just sticks out and looks like crap. Much prefer the round minimap. I know it's kind of a ridiculous complaint but it stuck out like a sore thumb when I was watching that video.

I'd be willing to bet there's multiple options for the minimap, including a see-thru overlay and just hiding it altogether. Almost all VGs offer that nowadays.

Assassin’s Creed Unity DLC Unveiled

You'll be able to explore more than just the French Revolution in Assassin’s Creed Unity. Ubisoft has announced that the game will be getting two big DLC expansions. The first one is called Dead Kings, and will expand on the story of main hero Arno with players exploring the northern French city of Saint Denis. The second DLC is a little different. It’s a stand-alone pack called Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, and will give players an entirely new adventure in China. As if that wasn’t different enough, it will also be a 2.5D side-scroller, similar to the mobile and handheld games in the franchise. You can get a better idea of what to expect by taking a look at the gameplay in the trailer above. All the DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity will be included in the game’s Season Pass. Firm release dates and prices haven’t been named, but Ubisoft says everything will be available by early 2015 at the latest. Unity hits stores on November 11. It’s available now for pre-order.
Here’s the official synopsis of all the content:
• Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings- a new story campaign that takes place after the events of Assassin’s Creed Unity. Arno leaves Paris for Saint Denis, a troubled city with a mysterious and extensive underground that holds the crypts of deceased French kings. In this self-contained set of missions, players will explore the murky depths of the Basilica and fight merciless adversaries to uncover the darkest secrets of the city. Arno will equip the new Guillotine gun, a deadly explosive weapon for short and long range combat. In addition to the main missions, players will discover new open-world activities including treasure hunts, murder mysteries and contracts, as well as new co-op missions. Additional weapons, gear, skills and outfits can be unlocked and carried over to the main game.
• Extend Arno’s journey in Paris with more missions, weapons and customization options for players looking to further explore Assassin’s Creed Unity and the French Revolution. Players can upgrade their customized Master Assassin and take on three added missions. Additionally, players will get over 30 new weapons, equipment, and outfits, including the exclusive Fleur de Lys sword on launch day.
• Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China- a new stand-alone Assassin’s Creed experience delivering a new story, setting, and gameplay type. In this 2.5D reimagining of the celebrated franchise developed by Climax Studios, players will perform parkour on the Great Wall of China, kill from the shadows and take the leap of faith. For the first time ever, players will be transported to the Middle Kingdom in the 16th century, where the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood has returned to her homeland. Players will be immersed in a vibrant setting, inspired by traditional brush paintings and Chinese architecture from a pivotal, historic time period in one of the greatest civilizations in history. Hell-bent on revenge, Shao Jun will use the skills she learned under legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore to exact vengeance. Players will be able to rely on stealth to accomplish their mission, as well as Shao Jun’s martial arts training and all-new Assassin gear.

Awesome stuff. :)

Guess that shoots down those theories that Arno doesn't survive the game....but I notice they don't mention or show Elise in "Dead Kings." :(

Also, wondering who that "American Prisoner" is. Easy money is on Connor Kenway, or (less likely) Aveline Dupre. But maybe it's a historical figure, like Thomas Jefferson (Washington's Secretary of State at the time; known to have traveled to France a few times during this Revolutionary period).

And the Chinese game looks pretty....something in the vein of Okami. Hope "Chronicles" indicates a regular series of self-contained smaller/artsy-indie AC games like this. Guess it depends on how the Chinese assassin is received by fandom.

Assassin's Creed Unity trailer explains gear and co-op

I've played a lot of games where a magic pair of pantaloons affected my stats a wee bit, but it still feels a little strange to hear Assassin's Creed Unity developers talk about the game's cornucopia of stat-addled gear. They're at it again in the following video, which details how Arno's items of clothing will affect his stealth, health, and other attributes that don't rhyme with 'ealth'. The second half, meanwhile, explores Unity's co-op mode. If you have five minutes to spare, it's worth a watch.

Cool! They've got Alexandre Dumas' father in the game, and it looks like he's an assassin!

I really need to catch up with this series.

It would be awesome if Arnault's life was told to Alexandre by his father (Thomas-Alexandre) and this became the inspiration for The Count of Monte Cristo.

This game takes place during the same period as that book, and the book also features elements of Rodrigo and Cesare Borgia, and assassin's. It would be cool if it was a lose retelling, or if they did a DLC/expansion game based off of The Count of Monte Cristo.

I have not unfortunately, but it does look like Dumas, since it's a man of African origins in fancy military uniform. Dumas was the highest ranking western General of African descent for over a hundred years; it'd be hard to pass him up.

Interesting read. Again though I hope they haven't made the new combat mechanics too difficult to get the hang of.
