I don't think I've ever encountered a game that had so many frame drops issues. I'm almost positive that I haven't seen more than ten seconds of stable frame rate yet, and I'm on Sequence 5.

What are you playing on? I'm on 3 on XB1 and only noticed that once or twice.

Just imagine if it was in 1080p.

Im pretty sure if the game was in 1080p the PS4 would just violently eject the game across the room and then go into rest mode until you apologized for subjecting it to that ****.

You most certainly are. It's would also let these games actually simmer and have true build-up, and actually be satisfying and rewarding, compared to the half-baked stuff we get every year.

Imagine how great AC3 would have been with another year to work on it. I'll never get over the wasted potential with that game, and now Unity. :cmad:

AC3 is the only AC game that put me to sleep. Literally. Ive dozed off and dropped my controller while playing that game. The first half of that game is the cure to insomnia. I cant speak for the quality of its second half cause Ive never made it that far into the game.

Am I the only one that doesn't think it's THAT bad? I mean it totally needs a patch... And a big one, but I don't think it's unplayable.1

Its not unplayable its just unacceptable. The frame rate issue is my biggest beef. At 900p this game should not be struggling like this on the PS4, cause if this game is struggling it says a lot about what we can expect from Ubi on PS4 and it may be saying a lot abouy the long term viability (or lack thereof) of the PS4. Something somewhwere is very wrong with this whole picture. I hope to God its all Ubi and not the PS4's fault.

I agree with others when I say I think this is an Ubi feeling pressured and releasing early issue, as opposed to a PS4 issue. If anything I feel both Microsoft and Sony jumped the gun on releasing their next gen systems only in so far as the 3rd party developers haven't had enough time/experience with the new hardware and that's why we've seen either a lack of quality games, or games getting pushed back to allow for more development time.

In the case of Unity, I would have rather waited than be disappointed. It's not that I think the game is completely bad, it's just not nearly as polished as all the marketing hype led to. I understand Metal Gear GZ is a much smaller game, but on an engine level, it's almost flawless so I'm perfectly happy waiting for Phantom Pain just as I'm perfectly happy waiting for Arkham Knight.

I kind of feel like there was some internal/external pressure to release a next gen game this year but as a marketing/management person I would have waited and built the mystery and hype more. Especially considering that I've read that Rogue offers story elements that serve as a stepping stone to Unity.

I don't think this is a too soon console thing.. It was a 10 year generation. This is just Ubisoft getting lazy. They're becoming the next Activision.

Yeah the PS3/360 generation was the longest console generation we've ever had. 7+ years. And the PS4 ditched the cell processor for the more simple standard computer style GPU & CPU. So Ubi shouldnt be struggling, and they wouldnt be strugglig as much if, like Frosty and I both have said, they had released Rogue this year and Unity next year. Ubi already had Far Cry 4 coming out on PS4 and Xbox One this month so there was no need for the company to rush AC to the new consoles. Next year would have been fine. But IDK the internal structure or pecking order. For all we know, the developers may have pushed for a delay or 2015 release, and the suits said no. If that is the case then the developers got screwed as much as us cause their names are connected to an unfinished project. Hopefully whoever thought releasing this game this year was a good idea has learned a lesson. Not likely but I can hope.

I'm really not trying to be argumentative because I would certainly agree if there was a plethora of quality games but so far there really isn't for either console. And those with promise have also been pushed back.

so......I haven't opened my copy yet.

worth it to keep it ( for Xmas ) or go back to Target and exchange for something else ( like FH2 )?

I haven't had the best track record in staying interested with past AC games.

but, hearing all the so-so reviews, the bugs/glitches, and now the whole app deal has caused me to second guess my decision to get it.

They had this game in production for 4 years so to say they didn't have enough time is kind of laughable. The big problem is most developers were unsure if these new consoles were going to be a hit or not because of mobile gaming. But they still had this in production for 4 freaking years. I'll probably wait to pick this up until I know the patch is oout

4 years apparently wasnt enough.:funny: And if they seriously thought mobile gaming (the mobile gaming we have now) was going to eclipse the PS4 and XBox One they are ****ing morons.

But definitely anyone who hasnt bought this just wait for the patch. Anyone who has bought it persevere and try not to snap the disc in frustration.

I'm currently only in act 3.. I'm gonna rest there and play through TMCC until a patch bits. Plus I have DAI next week.

I've had so much bad frame rate in this, it's beyond a joke. But I am enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would.

It's not the consoles' fault. I read somewhere earlier today that high end PCs that should have 0 problems were having the same issue. It's 100% in game.

Yeah I posted a quote about that from IGN. Ubi is blaming the PC problems on AMD's GPU and CPU configurations. Which I find hard to believe. If high end PC's are struggling with it then the problem lies within the game somewhere.

This is definitely not on the consoles. This is completely on Ubisoft and this is not the first time.

I don't think people are keeping this straight. Is the game not 1080p? I thought the problem was that it was 30fps instead of 60fps.

If it's on a 1080p TV, is it not rendered in 1080p?

The game is 900p, and that is what got the massive crap storm. And this game maybe advertised as running at 30fps, but it definitely doesn't hold.

No the rendering has nothing to do with the resolution of your tv. This game is rendered at 900p by Ubisoft. A TV's on-screen info however tends to say that the image is in 1080p or 720p even if it's actually 900p.

So Marvolo or anyone else who actually has the game on PS4 or Xbox One, are the problems as prevalent as NeoGaf indicates? Is it a broken game? Does it glitch constantly? Does it freeze or stall?

On Thanksgiving starting at 6 PM Wal-Mart will have AC Rogue for $25!
