at what age should you grow up?

i think growing up is gradual and doesnt happen at a specific age.. because you are always changing really from when you are a baby untill when you get old.

i've been thinking recently...

i'm currently 18, 19 in about a month and apparently i should be growing up by now...but i'm not and i don't really wanna grow up...then i was thinking maybe i'll grow up when i'm 20, but the thought of being 20 frightens the hell outta me!

so when should you grow up and start acting mature and responcible

If by growing up, you mean being sober and "adult." Don't bother. It's overrated.

If by growing up, you mean being self sufficient, living on your own, Mommy doesn't do your laundry and Daddy doesn't fix your car or pay your rent, then 18. If you aren't on your own two feet by then you are a loser or a wimp or a loser wimp.

it depends though... im 17 next month and i dont think im near ready to live on my own. My boyfriend is 18 and i dont think he is either. It doesnt make you a loser... the prices of houses and things nowadays make it difficult for young people to live alone to begin with.

Start gaining your maturity from 15. You don't just BECOME grown up... it works it's way in and you start your character development at age 15. So sometime after being 15. Everyone matures at different rates.

I saved for it from 14. I worked two jobs frequently. I moved out at 17 and had my own apartment during my Senior year of High School. If you think that apartment was worth every bit of that hard work for the freedom that it afforded me, you are correct.

Today, kids just lay around and wait for somebody to hand them something. It is very difficult to be "ready" under those circumstances.

i dont ask for things to be handed to me but when ur doing your education from 9-4 all week and no one will give you a job it is hard to save up.

I'm making things happen now. I do graphic art and web design for companies and my rents didn't pay a penny for my bed, my computer, my surround sound system, my TV, any of my DVD players, my Mp3 player, my keyboard or my playstation.
