I've done a few other smaller forums, but the main site I spend most of my time on is Red vs. Blue. (great movie forums on there... these boards have been a life line to them as well on the vials, I read it here, and let them know over there. just think how many people you've been helping:yay: ) so I'm feeling slightly fish out of water-ish right now, but soon I'll get the hang of it.

and you have no idea how much I agree about the crappy kids shows they show now. the worst part is, kids now will see "The Batman" and think that's what a good batman cartoon is.:csad:

Personally, I think that the show "The Batman" should never, ever, Ever be referred to as the animated series.

There is only one Batman: The Animated Series.

It's by some great, glorious men called Bruce Timm, and Paul Dini (and others). Batman is voiced by Kevin Conroy. who is, in my opinion, the best batman to grace the screen. (until Begins came around, that is, and Dark Knight this summer)

Hi by the way. I'm Film_geek, I'm new to these boards (this is my first post, actually). I've been reading them since the Comic Con WSS viral site/game. I just never signed up till now. boredom, plus a want to talk about Batman with some other bat fans has finally got me to sign up.

And thanks, you guys/girls have been my lifeline in following this utterly brilliant marketing. I would be completely lost without these boards.

:batty:

DAMN STRAIGHT !!!! I agree 100% with you on your opinion BTAS

BTW Welcome to the Hype . :cwink:

every show is trying to sell that crappy americanized anime junk, i could handle it for teen titans, but nobody *****s with batman that way! its blasphemous!

everytime i see the joker from the batman i die alittle inside...no lie. mark hamill need to ***** slap the people resposible for that mockery

It works well for Teen Titans because it is really a light superhero show vs. Batman which is best served dark

exactly, producers need to realize what works in what situation and what is just plain silly.

I totally agree with all of your post on b:tas. As I grew watching these shows, I remember all of those shows. Don't forget to add MMPR to the mix, I may not be a veteran of these boards but welcome aboard film_geek. You will find out that these forums are 100% mature and will not be annoyed by immature kids. Which I for one am glad, i.m sorry if I have offended anyone. By the way when will we get our next activity for the dark knight? do I have to sign up to be a member of Gotham or The Joker troop. I wannabe part of something big, please PM with more info. I crave this more than mj, and i'm drug free. Curses, Batman be my anti drug :brucebat:

thanks for the welcome Tigerknight.

finally, thanks naPAULeon. that's a big help.

I have been a Batman fan for about 25 years now and I actually enjoy "The Batman". It's not the greatest animated version or even accurate to past Batman storylines, but it's different and entertaining. Worth the 30 minutes a week.

Some episodes are pure crap, but I have also seen some episodes that are extremely well written. Almost artistic in its story.

Which season was this? I've only seen the first one, and a few random episodes. I got the first on DVD, managed to force myself to watch it all, them haven't really seen any more since then.

Did it get better? Because the last episode showed a slight, miniscule hint of promise, but it wasn't enough to warrant buying season two.

it seem to me that "the batman" is going out of its way to include other dc characters, almost if not every JL character has made an appearence. i do wish that BTAS had afew more cameos...but still, tossing in a bunch of other popular heroes into the story doesnt make up for week plots, week dialogue, and and crappy animation.

I agree, I also enjoy The Batman. It's not the best written show like you said but it is entertaining to me.

I also like the voice of the Joker in this one too.

It's not a big deal for me, as it does not reflect what happens in the comics and its a different spin on it for the kids. If I can sit there with my nephews and watch this show and we both have a good time, it is certainly ok with me.

There has been no activity on that site for sometime, so nothing has changed in months, welcome to the board. Be sure to check old threads for past updates as it tends to get lost in the shuffle from time to time and new threads get posted about old content that has been discovered or revealed already.
