I was driving to my girlfriends house through the city, and noticed the billboards for Thor on the side of a building. I always thought it was coming out the same time as the US, but we're getting it April 21st.

I'm just wondering if any other Aussie were aware of this. I feel ive been living under a rock these last few weeks.

The release schedules have been visible for a while now. The United States is getting their release about a week after most territories, although I admit I was surprised to see the Australian release date was another week earlier still.

Whenever I see them in traffic I yell out 'HAMMERRR!". Cabbies don't get it though.

I taped this Australian Thor TV Spot the other night too:

Can't wait to get all the free poster ads in Drum Media mags(probably this and next week)

    I love it.

Weird, in IMDB is say that the release date in Australia is May 19th, but hey it´s cool if you get it earlier

In Portugal, the movie is set for April 28th

I'm Melbourne here. Was stuck in traffic the other day driving into the burnley tunnel and was glad to find the Thor billboard up on the side. So very glad we only have a week and a half.

Also my gf told me she is booking gold class tickets on the 21st and the next day is good Friday, so I'll be glad to catch it again.

Incidentally peoples, Thor was awesome. Better than Iron Man. There's a few little quibbles I had (would have liked a more classical look for the frost giants for example) but they were mostly fanboy ones.

Was good, I think Marvel recognised it as a film they HAD to get right because Thor doesn't stand on it's own as a Marvel character as much as Cap or Iron Man (in terms of recognition... many would think more of the God of Norse lore, particularly outside of the US, rather than the Marvel character) and put more into it in the process.

More CGI feel to it than the Iron Man movies, but not overly negative... you couldn't really make it in any other way.

The Portman/Hemsworth scenes were a bit "Ugh..." at times, but for the most parti ti was good. Renner has an even better presence as Hawkeye than I first thought for him (but then I hadn't really put that much thought in to it in the first place...).

It doesn't really need to be said, i suppose, but Anthony Hopkins is freaking awesome and had more screen time than I thought he'd have.

Stay for the final cut-scene, it changed how I thought about Cap/Avengers...

Anyway... that's about as much as I can say without giving too much away...

So off to work, and the immense penalty rates that await me for working a 15:00-23:00 shift on Good Friday, I go...

Same here. Watched it last in 2D and will be catching it again in 3D. I was extremely impressed with the movie. Much better than I thought it would be. Was very surprised with the ending, but glad to see THOR WILL RETURN IN THE AVENGERS.
