Jut recruited Kang after getting 2 more lockboxes to give me enough for a 10x opening. Took only 100 lockboxes, which is the fewest I've ever needed to recruit a hero.

I've opened 90 so far and have 7 covers. So hopefully I can match you. I doubt it though. It seems like I've been filling up that last duplicate bar lately.

Looks like some people found a way to exploit that gold link and got more then 4 and now playdom thinking of reconsidering not doing future links for gold.

And I can't get Ka-Zar tonight unfortunately. I just don't have enough U-ISOs to complete all the fights to get to the Epic Battle against Modok. I need 50 U-ISOs to finish and I only have 5 at the moment. Hope I can even complete it tomorrow.

I've already used up my gifts today. I had to defeat High Evolutionary and Sinister earlier, which then took me to the 2 stars, and then I had to play Mission 3 all over again to defeat all of them, do the deploys and get to where I am before I can fight Modok.

I probably could have had enough if I didn't do the deploys the first time round, but I forgot that I wouldn't be able to fight Modok yet until I actually got the 2 stars in Mission 3, which required me to exit the mission. So I used up some valuable U-ISOs on deploys and extra battles I didn't really need to do.

Yeah deploys are practically mandatory if you want to do everything this SO.

As for Playdom restricting the gold, can't they see who exploited it and just penalize those few people instead of everyone?

was a announcement came up on the forums that it violates ToS and is deemed and exploit, which is a bannable offense.

don't know if they will drop the hammer on those that did exploited the bug

When you know you're exploiting something you should realize repercussions are possible. I won't feel too much sympathy if they do get a ban.

Finally got to the first research. I'm more used to the mobile version, which I've been playing for much longer, and I didn't even get Starlord on the last Spec Ops, so I feel like I'm learning to play all over again.

Here's something I haven't worked out yet with Spec Ops: If I exit Mission 1 now, with all these regular battles on the map still un-fought, will that result in a lower star rating?

Yes it will result in a lower star rating. If you do that too early in a subsequent mission, you might even miss out on gaining the next star, so there's a balance to be had between having fought just enough and too much that you're wasting your U-ISOs when you don't need to yet.

I didn't know that Kang was like Dr. Doom and you can't use him with other heroes. Oh well, no 12-2 leveling for him.
