Avengers the Initiative

iron man as a fascist would have built the gulag, put all the heroes that did not agree with him in a death camp, or labotomized them and made them his slaves. Turned S.H.I.E.L.D. into a twisted version of the SS, and personally shot cap in the head.

Who was the guy on the bus who looked kinda like a tiger? he had black stripes on his face. Also when did we see Rage?

ooo I knew I saw him somewhere!

Yeah, he first showed up in DAREDEVIL in the late 80's and then befriended the NEW WARRIORS, back when they were trained teen heroes who occasionally had a positive impact on people.

It is a little weird to see Bengal going along with what is essentially a draft, considering his whole schtick was getting revenge on U.S. army vets who raided his Vietnam village. Even as a do-gooder, one would imagine he'd SHUN any sort of draft or military service. Ah, well.

Bengal also technically has no powers, and is a martial arts master with weapons skill.

...Dude... you, like, know way too much about comics.

ooo that's where I saw him. Is Gaunlet also a new made up character, I got the impression he'd been around for some time?

I think he showed up in Slott's SHE-HULK previously, but I don't read that title.

Southpaw from that title was also empowered by a mechanical glove-type weapon, and the pair may be connected.

I like the series for the most part, I am not sure if I like Guanlet's constant put downs and barking orders. I know he is a drill sargent (spelling?), and as long as they show he really cares I might grow to like him.

I didn't like hearing that the government wouldn't protect all the heroe's families. So anyone who wants to use their powers at all has to be a hero for the government, but the government WONT protect your family from World Threats like the Masters of Evil.

What Gauntlet was saying was that the LAST THING UNCLE SAM NEEDS is to protect your family from getting killed by the masters of evil just because the kid had been blurting out their real name so anyone could hear.

The government'll protect anyone's family - but that should only be necessary if the identity of a hero comes out, and that should only happen through the hero or a member of their family being stupid

in your opinion what was worse.

He was wearing green hot pants and elf shoes before this one, believe me, it's an improvement.

I like the emo kid trauma although I was suprised they didn't throw him out too I mean he knew the girl Armory was "dealthy afraid of spider's" So wouldn't he get in trouble too? Anyone else see the resemblence of Trauma and the singer from My Chemical Romance! Also with Komodo did they fill us in that she stole Curt's lizard-serum or did that actually happen in some other issue.

I'm pretty sure the general public does know since, well, generally people were very affected by Goliath's death and it would make sense that they knew. And, more relevantly, Frontline showed that it was caught by []such prestigious journalists like Floyd and Urich[/:dry:] and Urich interviewed Stark about it afterwards (and Stark promised that the full story would be disclosed to the public).

But then, as we know, just because Urich uncovers a story and talks to Stark about it doesn't mean that it will be disclosed.

Damn, I love that smiley.

True, all that happened, but did he ever get the story out? Was that one of those things that he and Miss Floyd decided they couldn't tell people about? I think my statement still stands. The general public doesn't know about Clor.

They shouldn't HAVE to protect their families, as they're not suppossed to give out their identities.

Even though he's been shown fighting in full view during that fight and in the final battle of the war where his cyborg brains got splattered on the street, both of which were pretty well documented by dozens of reporters, not just Urich and Floyd? I don't think the multitudes of Thor fans in the world would just let it slide without an explanation, much less Goliath's many mourners if you just told them "You see, Goliath died because...well, we can't tell you why."

First of all, did they really get it on camera? Secondly, if they did, did the new "facist" MU us gov let them air it? And if they did, it's likely that they simply let people think it's really Thor, which makes no sense if you actually know anything about Thor, but there he is, right there for all to see, fighting on the pro reg side. How are the GP supposed to know he's a cloned cyborg? That's a pretty big leap to make without actually being told what's going down. Which they haven't.

So, the statement stands. :p

Your statement is poopy and I wipe it from my butt:cmad:.

Well then I guess you poop the truth. And you can only blot the truth, but you will never wipe it away. :o

Yes you can, actually. It's called being a very convincing liar.

But being a convincing liar would require the practice of coprophilia, in this case.
