I'm loving Back in Black so far. Spidey is so pissed off that he's become a little unpredictable. Considering that we are in a Spidey era where he unmasks and dies and comes back, who knows what will happen. Is he going to actually kill the Kingpin? The only complaint I have with this story thus far is the slight continuity blemish of him keeping a suit webbed to the church and his reason for not using it anymore.

The only way I can see the webbing thing being explained to keep it in continuity is if they said that he was wearing the symbiote suit when he webbed it and the symbiote suit's webbing doesn't disintegrate. Even then though, why would he be webbing a normal black costume to a church when he has a symbiote one? *shrugs*

Spidey rebelled against Iron Man and joined the Anti Registration side, and ditched the Iron Spider suit. After the war ended, Aunt May is shot, and Spidey is back in black

ASM is interesting, a little contrived but hey compared to what JMS has been writing since he lost the great JRjr, this is the first time Amazing is worth looking at again since then.

I liked the ending.

I also like the Sensational storyline with Mr. Hyde and I liked even more that it was a good old fashioned Spidey story with no "major life changing event" that could have just as easily been an old Spidey story except for throwaway references to Aunt May being shot and people calling him Peter Parker instead of Spidey occasionally.

And Sensational Annual is the best 616 Spidey story in probably 3 or 4 years.

So Spidey is having a spurt of creativity and quality right now. But my guess is come September "One More Day" Joey Q's next bull**** "event" will caues it to come crashing down like a deck of cards.

It is also interesting to see how Raimi evaluated Parker's character in SM3 with the ability to rise above vengence and hate but as of now Joey Q and JMS seem steering Parker to giving in and committing murder. Interesting.

1. The Kingpin hired an assassin to kill Peter after his unmasking. The sniper aimed in the room and shot Aunt May, after Pete dodged the bullet.

2. JJJ tried to sue Pete, not sure how that turned out exactly, but FNSM will have a one-shot story about him in August.

3. MJ hid with Pete in a cheap motel, where Aunt May was shot, but after that she stayed with May at the hotel. Not sure where from there.

4. Kingpin.

5. Yes.

6 & 7. Pete is going after him in the current issues, and I think the last issue ended in Pete telling the Kingpin he's going to murder him, or something like that.

Yea Aunt May already kicked the bucket back in ASM #400. It's revealed later on though that it wasn't really Aunt May, instead it was an actress hired by Norman Osborn.
