Comics Back In Black Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

You're right, which is one of the reason they make all 616 Spidey titles into ASM,.

Really looking forward to comic day this week ASM plus SSM! whoo hoo

Marvel sent me a copy of ASM early. It was an awesome issue!

Plus the story in Sensational right now is shaping up to be the coolest and most different 'Venom' story ever.

Being in England I have to wait till Thursday for comicbook day, ugrh.

can somebody help me get spiderman in this sui except for without the glider and mask

Another good issue.

SPOILERS

Peter fights Kingpin man to man and totally owns him. He beats Kingpin pretty bad but decides to leave Kingpin alive for now. Because to Kingpin, his reputation is everything and he has been beaten by Peter before all the inmates. Living in humiliation of defeat makes Kingpin suffers more than anything, just what Peter wants him to. He wants Kingpin to suffer. Before Peter leaves the prisons, he threatens Kingpin that he will return and kill him if Aunt May dies.

Peter is back in the hospital. Aunt May's situation is still the same. MJ informs that they are running out of money (she says this every issue! ). Peter says that he will do something about it.

Overall, a pretty good issue. Kingpin receives very serious beating from Peter. I'm very satisfied watching it. Even though we know that Peter won't kill Kingpin, this issue shows how much Peter has changed and how cruel he decides to become. Now one more issue left, let's see if Aunt May will die in the next chapter

Very surprising. I honestly thought the whole issue would be Kingpin mopping the floor with Peter, as it seemed Straz went out of his way to give Pete an Achille's Heel last issue, what with the blood transfusion.

Pleasantly surprised. :word:

ASM Issue# 542 is awesome! I loved how Spidey beat the crap out of Kingpin and how He threatened him about killing him if his Aunt May dies.:venom: Sadly, my Comic Book store sold out of Sensation Spider-Man Issue#39. I will try another Comic Book store tommoroe.

Just finished up the issue and it was pretty damn good, but like dangerous mentioned earlier...Kingpin should have been on the floor after the first punch. When the fight is just about over, Peter goes on to say that Kingpin "has no powers" and so on. Well if that's the case then how the hell did he survive that beat down you just gave him?

Garney has really grown on me as an artist. I wasn't a fan right off the back, but it seems like he really has a nice feel for Spidey and crew. It's a shame that he's going to be off the title soon.

Anyway, I just want these "Back in Black" stories for Spider-man to end already. Don't get me wrong, they've been good for the most part, but I miss the "Red and Blue" wise cracking version of Spider-man. Plus it feels like this Back in Black storyline has been dragging on forever now.

*sigh* seriously, May is not dying. She's in one more day, were they'll go backin time to save her.:whatever:

 It's only been fivemonths.

SSM 39 wasn't as strong as the previous issue of SSM. It's still an interesting read for the simple fact that Eddie is just a shell of his former self. How the mighty have fallen. I'm loving that spin on his character. I was hoping for a bit of a verbal confrontation between Peter and Eddie. It would have been really interesting to see how they could relate to one another considering everything both of them are going through right now.

But whatever, still a decent read. Just not as chilling as the first issue.

Cover the next issue is really freaking amazing though.

I do understand. I'm still waiting for the days when we get Red and Black back.:o

Yeah, I liked it, but I wasnt expecting Peter to be so compassionate to Eddie. He's a psychopath alone with is aunt, and Peter
tried talking him off the ledge?
Isnt Peter supposed to be dark and angry now? Wouldnt he have said
"You know what, Brock? Jump. Please."

But yeah, still entertaining.
