Comics Back In Black Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I don't follow Daredevil, so my question is why would Matt Murdock release scum like the Kingpin?

It's really something you have to read the last arc to understand...
You see, Matt did it out of respect to Kingpin's former wife, Vanessa Fisk, who "gave" Matt's ID back to him after destroying his life (kind of). She was dying of a disease and wanted revenge on Matt or something like that, and let him believe his best friend was murdered. Matt ended up releasing Kingpin so he would show her the love and respect of a woman long since dead, (metaphorically) the woman he loved.

Now with the pro won the civil war, didn't it make Daredevil having a secret identitiy again, well, useless?

Well, Daredevil never registered, so not really. And it's not like no one thinks he's DD at all anymore, it's more like a cloud of doubt, but quite a few people still have suspicions he's DD.

It's late but I just get all 3 current Black In Black issues. It's my first issue of Sensational Spider-Man and I totally dig the art. It's fantastic!!! Spidey really look cool in it. while Friendly Neighbourhood so far is ok.

I have a question. There's an untold tale of Spidey in black in Spider-Man Family. Why exactly the symbiote is attacking Sandman's friends and what is the stone? Meteor from the Symbiote's homeland?

And also. Why the 'black' costume is actually blue? :D

I'd assume it was a meteor from it's native planet because of the "home" references it makes.

Now are you guys happy and will stop saying that the black outfit is completely a movie tie in?

i ll always be a spiderman fan, but honestly i can't keep up with whats going on. what with all the tie ins and such.how did civil war end? is his id still publicly known?

If you want to know
Civil War ends with Cap surrendered. Peter went back to his home only to be attacked by a sniper hired by Kingpin. He managed to save MJ but Aunt May is shot and current status is unknown. According to SSM FNSM, Peter is currently on the run and police is all over him

I'd throw the cars into the woods or into an area that wouldn't kill people. I'd just want to throw cars around. I mean...imagine if someone cuts you off in traffic and you catch up to them and then pull them out of their car and then launch their car 3 miles into the woods. I mean...seriously...what could they do? And could you imagine that call to the police?

Eventually you're going to hit an innocent camper. :o

Then what, hotshot? Then what?

This is a really cool cover

I think that's a second printing for Sensational Spider-Man #35.

Skinnnnn tight costume...looks almost like a rubber suit in that pic.

But just once it would be nice if something black WASN'T associated with something bad. Cripes.

Hmn.....cool pic...but it DOES look like RUBBER....LOL...

Reminds me of the Friends episode where he (Ross) was wearing the tight rubber black pants and was squeaking when he moved/walked...lol...

Wonder if Spidey squeaks in that rubber version of the black suit???:woot:

No, because it is.

Granted, a reasonable opportunity to do so presented itself with the end of Civil War, but there's no doubt that somehow or another Spidey was always going to end up in the black costume in time for the movie.

That's why I said "Completely a movie tie in" I won't deny it, but you guys are making it out to be shallow when it actually holds a meaning now.

Sort of. It's not like it flows completely organically out of the story. Do you think that if Spider-Man 3 wasn't opening in a couple of months, that Pete would still be mourning in the black costume? I guess it's possible, but I really, really doubt it.
