Nice jeep throwing. And can Aunt May survive being swing by Peter?

I love how in the description it says 'there IS no going back!'. Aren't we pretty sure that One More Day is a wipe of what has happened? Unless Aunt May definitively dies and doesn't come back, then apparently there IS going back.

Boy, how pissed would everyone be if Aunt May died, then came back again because of the events of One More Day? That old girl will have died and come back to life so many times she ought to get frequent die-er miles.

Get it? Die-er miles? ;)

why is aunt may concerned about peter web slinging her to hospital with out a costume when everyone knos who he is?!?

probably because she lost a lot of blood like they say once she gets to the hospital.

btw those first few pages look great.

porbly...dnt explain why he then hides outside tho lol yeh the art does look great i might pick this up

The only way to answer this is simple. I come over your house, set up across the street, shoot you with a high powered sniper rifle and then see how well your thought process moves once I start webslinging your dying carcass to the hospital.

remember, peter is wanted these days and probably didn't wanna deal with fighting police any more or whatever...who knows...we'll find out this week when the book is out!!!

Re- One more day- I usually think he sucks but from the preview I saw in Wizard, JQ's art is actually looking pretty solid. I'm looking forward to seeing how the arc reads in terms of his pencils.

It's supposed to resolve the marriage "controversy".

Wait wait wait...

So...Peter had a Black suit hidden under a ledge on a skyscraper...knowing that MJ hated the suit...he kept it just in case he ever had to terrorize thigs? That's pretty stupid...especially seeing as how MJ was hurt by Venom and is now terrified of the costume. Ugh.

I'm glad the suit is back, but I would have preferred him saying that it's just the Black one he had made back in Spider-Man #13 that he never threw away (he wore it in the Clone Saga (well, the mask and gloves), and he wore in in Mackie's run, so it shouldn't be too far gone. It's still been around. The hiding part seems unneccesary.

Still, I'll let it slide, seeing as how I love the suit.

I haven't read it in awhile, but how is Pete swinging with no webshooters and how is he sitting on the side of the hospital with his shoes on? Have these "details" gone away since I stopped reading in the late 80s.

He has since gained organic webshooters, and doesn't need the mechanical ones anymore. As for the shoes thing, I think he does that a lot but I'm not quite sure how they explain it.

The part that gets me is how the suit is stuck to the underside of that building in "WEBBING" :wow: :wow: :wow: ... which if memory serves me correctly, used to dissolve in an hour.

:whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

:csad:

Wha?

Did they ever establish the organic webbing lasting longer? Not that it matters, as it's clear the suit was there from a LONG time ago... back when Spider-Man mattered.:o

Dear Marvel:

I wish to apply for the position of "Continuity Director" for the Spider-Man titles. I understand the position is open because, upon reading Amazing Spider-Man #539, it is apparent you do not have one in your employ for the following reasons:

1. The Aunt May character's maiden name is "Reilly,"
and not "Fitzgerald." I appreciate Mr. Straczynski may be a fan of The Great Gatsby, though I personally felt it had little meaning in this issue.

2. Spider-Man's webbing dissolves anywhere between one to two hours. As I understand it, he can mix compounds to make it stronger and last longer, though having purchased and re-read all issues between the living costume saga to this present issue,
I cannot find the issue in which he hides this costume, or creates a specialized webbing with which he might hide said costume.
This leads me to my third point, which should be considered...

3 & 4. When Spider-Man removed his black costume for (ostensibly) the last time, it was due to the fact that it was to prevent Mary Jane from being reminded of having been made to feel helpless at the hands of the similarly-garbed "Venom," who had intruded into her home.
Not because Spider-Man "felt it sent the wrong message."
It was because of this that Spider-Man burned the costume in his penthouse apartment's fireplace.

There are quite a few other recent examples, though I haven't the time to document them all. However, this one issue had a good amount to cite. Attached is my resume, and I look forward to your reply.

All the best,
S.C.

This is not an error. If you're on the run from the authorities you don't go around giving your real name.

and what controversy might this be? is this something that we find out in ASM 539?

I don't know.... according to Joey Q the marriage should've never happened and was a terrible idea. He wants to have the final word on the status quo of the marriage in One More Day, whether they stay together or part.

What? Why is it a terrible idea? Fans love it....What's wrong with this guy?

The marriage is the best thing they could have done with Peter Parker. Characters, like people, must move forward and experiences and attain thing in life that make that life worth living. Marriage is one of those things.

The issue was brilliant - but one simple statement: Call Reed Richards from the hospital phone, leave a message saying "Because Tony Stark asked Peter to give up his identity on national television, his Aunt May has been shot by someone out to kill Spider-Man. Help her, now."
Reed came when Spidey asked him to in Sensational, and that was just the mystery of a guy with Spider-powers.
