Bryan:

“There will be no alternate cut of this movie. There will be nothing like the Rogue Cut or anything like that. I’m not a big fan of director’s cuts or extended editions, I never have been. In the case of Apocalypse, I removed what would be considered a conventional amount from the movie to protect what we call the collective experience of the feature theatrically. How it feels pace wise and movement wise.”

I'm mad now. I was really hoping for an extended version of the movie. I really loved the movie and really loved the extended version of The Wolverine and X-Men Days of Future Past.

Sorry for double post but what happens if the Studio wants an extended version and the Director doesn't? Who wins this fight?

Man, that's a damn shame, I liked the movie a lot but think an extended version could iron out some of the flaws.

Me too.

I was really hoping to see the Mall scene in the movie and not in the "Extra media" section of the dvd.

How strange that he should say that so soon.

Are there confirmed deleted scenes that involve Apocalypse himself?

I also think that is very soon for him to say that. What if the movie is successful at the box office? Fox would have the chance to sell this movie twice like they did with DOFP, regular version and The Rogue Cut.

They could just call X-Men: Apocalypse Extended version.

Only confirmed deleted scenes right now are:

The Mall scene
Havok and Cyclops goodbye moment.
The parents of the summers brothers watching the end of the world from tv.

Honestly, extended cuts should be mandatory for every comic book movie. Fans love them.

Singer doesn't rule out a function on the Blu-ray that would allow you to insert these scenes into the movie, teasing it's something they're tossing around, but says they haven't figured out whether they're going to do that yet or not.

Is not Singer who says that. Is the author of the article and he says it is a feature of the dvd that could exist or not.

Interesting, thanks

Me too, I was hoping for a scene showing that Angel really survived and is in the Hospital or maybe in the x-mansion being treated by Beast.

They could still do that in the next movie if they want to bring him back.

Not surprised in the least, but a little disappointed regardless. I agree that all comic book films should have extended editions. We are exactly the type of audience that would eat them up. I'd love alternate cuts of this entire series. I want a Singer cut of TLS lol

They could do one later, they probably don't want people holding out on getting the first DVD/Blu-ray release!

Special editions rock! For BvS there are two Amazon editions with figurines included - one has Batman, one has Superman. I want both!

Doesn't need an extended cut... Needs a complete re-cut. There was a real lack of pacing, it jumped way too much. Was this quote said before or after the rocky reviews?

that sucks but if it under performs I could envision the studio enhancing the home media releases

I think that Singer was just too negative on saying there there's no way we'll get a extended cut cause he doesn't like it.

He could have let it open in the air the possibility of an extended cut.

Fox would make big money with an extended version.

Actually, he also confirmed Jubilee's powers as being in the deleted scenes, too.
The mall scene includes a several minute montage of them getting out of Star Wars, going to the food court, Nightcrawler surprised at how people aren't afraid of him in America, Nightcrawler breakdancing with people at the mall, the four teens checking out a record store, and them at the arcade.
My friend who saw the full editor's assemblage cut of the film said that Jubilee uses her powers in the arcade, and then evades mall security with gymnastics while joking around.

Also, Bryan Singer mentioned they might add a 'toggle' option to include the deleted scenes with the rest of the movie on the DVD.

I love the sound of all of those scenes but I can understand why they were cut. That's a lot of scenes in the mall and besides a bit of character developing its not serving the story. And once again the fault is at Simon Kinberg for writing in scenes and scenarios that don't work overall to the plot. It's becoming a common thing with his movies. Those scenes would work if the young X-Men had something to do story wise there. Or if something happened to them there that would progress the story. It's a shame that pretty much Jubilee got cut because they didn't use her in anything else and then in the actual movie she literally does nothing.
