Bad Robot/Jonathan Nolan Bringing "Westworld" to HBO - Part 1

Gonna bet that Stubbs and Bernard are in a future timeline and are with an adult Frankie (Caleb's daughter),
Probably right, but I wish it wasn't. This show suffers when they muddle the timeline.

Idk if Lisa and Jonathan are fans of Assassin's Creed but what the virtual Hosts are using their virtual reality to do is the exact same thing the Isu (First Civilization) did. They created simulations of every possible future outcome of every event and the course of every life that would ever be born. So accurately that they were able to predict the events of people's lives 100,000+ years in the future. And like in the AC series all simulations converge on a doomsday event. The protagonist humans in the series are being set up by the Isu to help humanity avoid that catastrophic event.

...its easily that - the way they continually cut to-fro between those scenes.

This show's cinematography is so damn good. Even in mundane dialogue scenes it looks like money.

I've been enjoying this season so far, but IMO this week's episode definitely took it to another level. Loved the big reveals and I felt pretty much every emotion Kaleb was going through towards the end.

That was easily some of the best acting from Aaron Paul on this show which is saying something considering how fantastic his performance was throughout the last season.

Apparently season 4 has had a huge drop-off in ratings, averaging less than half of season 3's.

I can understand it, though. It's still not as good as it was. :(

Yeah I saw the numbers a while back and without context they could seem alarming, but it's unfair to judge the ratings like that. One thing worth mentioning is that they are pretty consistent from episode to episode in each season. HBO like all cable channels' numbers have dropped a lot over the years due to streaming, and every season of Westworld takes two years to arrive. Like others have said, yeah they dropped, but for one they were way above average in the beginning, and they also are still not that far off from channel's biggest hits.

Rewatched 4x05 earlier tonight... A piano version of "The Day the World Went Away" by Nine Inch Nails was playing during the Christina/Hale restaurant scene. Radiohead's "Exit Music" was used in Season 1. Jonah Nolan is going to use "Hurt" again, you watch. :o
