The Dark Knight Bale's salary/back-end deal

Did Bale take a flat salary for TDK, or did he take a back-end deal that gives him a part of the profit? I only ask, because if so, he stands to make more money for TDK than Maguire made for SMII.
I looked around, but couldn't find it anywhere, which makes me think he did take a back-end deal.

No thats called being a greedy bastard, something Bale is not. Plus why the hell would WB offer an actor of his caliber that much money? They only did it with Jack because he wouldnt do the role if they didnt give him that much, he was their draw or the movie wouldnt have gotten greelighted. Bale dosent care about money, he cares about his performances.

I doubt that, Bale being in a bigger spotlight, makes his true colors come out, and you really don't know if he really does it for the art, or if he did, but now he has changed, or he's always been a greedy jerk. Where did you hear that? I heard one of the reasons he took on the Terminator franchise was because he had just started making movie star money. Which is not necessarily accurate, but even without that bit of information it just seems like the modest successes of Equilibrium and Reign of Fire would not be enough to put him in that range. I would guess more like 5 million, since it was still a big budget summer tentpole, but he had never really opened a movie at that point.

makes you wonder, though, especially after the stuff about him allegedly assaulting his mother and sister this past weekend, and him being held custody today...but he's definitely got the money..he sure was able to pay for his bail...

All of the things we've heard about Bale is he is a very professional guy when it comes to his acting, have you even seen any of his films before he did BB and TDK? Obviously not or you would know for sure that Bale cares more about the art in what roles he takes than the paycheck he gets!
