That is good stuff up there. I like the idea and direction this can take. The only thing is that marketing might not be nearly as well as TDK, so I would expect box office similar to BB. Not like that's bad or anything that be a solid trilogy maybe the best so far.

Eduardo Noriega for Bane ( Alejandro Amenabar's actor).
In case Bardem is not available.

Unless they kill another prime actor who is a bright star of our generation, there's no way the press and marketing is going to match TDKs

Dalip Singh is my first choice honestly. There doesn't have to be a whole lot of "acting" involved with Bane. Granted, he's not the moron they made him in B&R and actually quite smart. But I've always seen him as the strong silent type with limited dialogue. Not to mention, he'd being wearing a mask a lot of the time (unless the film is directed by Sam Raimi....*shutters*) But he wasn't that bad in Get Smart if I recall correctly.

Or there's also;
Brandon Molale

I like the idea that he is used as hired help as a mob boss underestimates him and he takes over eventually.

As ever the only thing about Bane is finding an actor.

Does the name Bane mean anything btw?

Dalip Singh isn't too much for the speaking English, as far as I can tell.

I'd cast him and Darth Vader the voice with Edward James Olmos. As long as he keeps the mask on and you mix Olmos with enough bass, it'll be bad-the-f-ass.

Exactly.

But also - Bane doesn't need to be Barak Obama in terms of delivering dialogue.

Hell, I'm not saying he has to be mentally disabled, but I wouldn't mind if his dialogue was limited. Almost like a Michael Myers or something. And you see his plan of wearing down Batman and all that. So you know he's cunning and a mastermind.

It's a lot scarier IMO if we never hear him talk, sans a couple important lines. It doesn't give us much insight to his goals or w/e. Which means to the audience, he's a loose cannon. And a lot more threatening if you ask me.

I like me some articulate Bane, but that could work really well.

all he would need is two lines of dialogue IMO:

1) Good evening Mr. Wayne.

2) And now I will BREAK you.

PS: Which came first? The Knightfall issue with that or ROCKY 4?

The two great choices for Bane would be Javier Bardem or Benecio Del Toro!

Get them to bulk up and get ripped and let them go!

Bardem, Del Toro.

I would have scoffed at those choices a year ago. I always wanted Bane to be 7 feet tall and massive.

Now that I've been thinking of Bane as an anti-Batman, a mirror to his one-man crusade, however, they seem like good choices.

No sir,

Bane needs to trump Batman in size. That's what makes Batman's victory over him that much more amazing. Maybe he doesn't have to be Dalip Singh but still, tallER than Bale and a lot more muscle por favor.

So you're more of a Marvel Ultimates Venom type of guy huh?

- Jow

i like the ult marvel universe, intersting the reinentions are.

it appplies because hes saying that youd take it in that kind of direction and hes assuming that yo like those comics.
am i right anjow?

isnt ultimate venom huge as well? that analogy doesnt make sense. sure hes scrawny when hes brock but hes massive, even bigger than original venom i think, when hes got the suit

Well originally Eddie Brock was a huge muscle man and Venom was like his Bane. Then in Ultimates they made him kinda scrawny like Peter parker, ie: his "equal". Just like a evil twin kind of thing.

And that's what I was interpreting how you were picturing Bane being.

Was that how you were envisioning him?

Does the name Bane mean anything btw?

Yup.

something causing misery or death; "the bane of my life"

I always thought "Bane" meant, something hell bent on destroying something else. Granted they're basically the same definition but "hell bent" gives that determining/threatening edge.

I would love if the introduced Bane :woot:

after destroying his reputation in Batman and Robin it''s only right
they cant leave Bane with the worst superhero ever made he deserves better :cmad:

Anyone else want to see Bane ?
