Bane is technically half white and half latino, and most moviemakers usually take liberties when the character's origin is biracial like that.

The critique of the tubes was definitely valid. also for those who don't know this was by Tony Moore for the new Venom series, I just, very crudely I may add, turned it into what I expect Nolan to do with Bane.

Really? The mask and his size are more defining traits, I think. The tubes are not always in view, even in the comics. It only comes into plain sight when he is in action. I'd like for a smart way to make it visible, but also discrete and uniform with the rest of his body.

It's always bugged me that his weakest access point was relatively accessible.

Yeah, tubes do make it more Bane-y but I don't think we'll see tubes realistically. Is a bit Swat, or a bit Ninja or Batman-esque, which is what I assume we'll get, though I'm totally open to interpretation as long as the story is kickass.

Well yeah, his massive size and mask are complete necessities. BUT, when you cover his entire body the tubes just help make him more identifiable as Bane. The tubes are just a trait to basically help out the swat suit.

"Shooting up" is a fair compromise. One to dose him with the venom, another one to cleanse him of it. Makes it a lot harder to defeat him if his supply doesn't rely on a constant flow that can be interrupted from the outside.

Also there are interesting parallels they can take with the addiction.

Very excited about this news, mainly because of the prospect of a real physical threat to Batman and hopefully some good fight scenes.
Besides Knightfall and Legacy, what Bane stories should I read to get a feel for the great strategist that I hear his fans talk about?

"Bane of the Demon" is a good one. I'm also looking forward to some good fight scenes.
