I didn't know you could ban people from just a forum.

Also, just curious when does Percy/Persistance comes back? Since the Atheism/Religion thread is going bananas I thought it was prudent to know when he'll be back.

As far as I can tell...you have been told repeatedly what happened by the staff (one of them being me). You just don't like what you are being told.

You went too far with a post in the XMen forums, and got temp banned from them.

A new poster registered and posted in the XMen forums. People said it sounded like the way you post.

An IP check was done on the new name...and it was matched to yours. So you were permanately banned from the X forums.

You can cry conspiracy...you can cry foul...you can cry Havok and let slip the dogs of war (see what I did there...used an XMen and Shakespeare reference in the same line)......but it comes down to this. You are no longer allowed to post in the X forums.

I don't like what I've heard because it's not the truth.

No mods will answer my questions regarding this situation or even attempt a dialogue with me to try to get it cleared up. I have no clue where this 2nd account allegation is coming from, because it wasn't me. Simply put. And it's frustrating that no mod or admin is even willing to discuss this with me and give me a chance to defend myself and clear up this obvious misunderstanding.

I didn't even "go too far" with the post that got me banned. I posted a picture of my X-Men comic, cartoon, and movie collection because Lightning Strikez and Naji Assan or whatever his name was called my fandom into question along with another poster. I posted a picture defending myself, of my X-Men collection. That's what got me forum banned.

If a 2nd account was made under my IP, why was this never addressed with me at the time? Why was it not until I asked about my X-Men forum status? Why can't I even be given a name of the account in question, or location of the IP address? Why are my PM's constantly ignored?

I don't look to start a fight, but it is very frustrating to not even have a chance to clear this up with the mods.

I have no idea. Honestly I don't even know how IP addresses work. I don't know where the suspect IP address is from. I don't know if someone living in my old apartment hooked up internet and joined the hype. I have 4 other roommates, some of whom like comic book movies, I don't know if one of them joined the hype.

Hell I don't even read the hype in one place. I get on on my laptop or on my phone at all sorts of different places and connections maybe someone logged on from one of those.

All I've done is read the forums as a guest when my screen name was logged out. I've never created a 2nd account at any point in my history here. I didn't even know that accusation had been made against me until I asked about my X-Men forum status, and then I was blindsided with the accusation from out of nowhere. I don't know the alleged screen name, or post made under it, or anything else. Only information I've been given is a vague claim that I created an alternate screen name to access the X-Men forums, with no other questions answered. So I've no idea what's going on.

Hmmm...that does sound strange. I do hope it gets resolved. I'm sure as more time passes you'll be allowed back into the X-Men forums.

I hope it gets resolved too. I'm not vocal on my X-Opinions, as Nell was, but for the most part, I've agreed somewhat with Nell on many his views on the films and the future of the series…etc.

I'm not back. I can't post in the X-Men forums. I was never banned from the Hype. I was forum banned from the X-Men forums.

Unfortunately it seems in the eyes of the powers that be there's nothing to resolve.

I've stated my piece. Decision is what the decision is, I'll live. Probably less stress anyways. But I'll certainly miss having a place to discuss the movie when it comes out next month.

I just think it's a raw deal to lose forum access over a false accusation that I'm not even afforded a chance to defend myself from.

Yeah it does suck. But it's just a movie section. That's like being told you can't go to a Bieber concert. Not a big loss. There's much better places to go on the Hype.

I'm sure if you keep your nose clean there may be a change. For now I would suggest letting it go until more time has passes. Again good luck. I'm not a Marvel fan so I don't post in the Marvel section, but it would suck to high heaven if I was banned from my favorite fan forum.

Well that's the thing! I was keeping my nose clean! I was just posting in the other areas of the forum, not even getting into arguments or debates, and after a couple months passed, I asked a simple question if my X-Men forum banning was permanent or temporary, because the mods that addressed my banning left it open for either solution. Then out of nowhere, I get hit with the 2nd account accusation, and I'm just left like " "

And I haven't been able to get any questions answered since then.

But thanks. You're right. Probably best to just drop it now. Nothing is gonna change. I'll just post in the other areas here that I like.
