I know that I've not been here long, but I was lurking for a couple of years and to my mind the posters that get banned are always the ones who's underlying zealotry, *****ieness, or general insanity were always right under the surface in how they interacted with others.

I cant believe I don't check this thread every day and missed all the Kevin Smith resurgence! As a person who is the same age as him (23) I can't understand how one can be that irrational and crazy? Anyone have a rundown of the chaos that ensued?

Also, what was Beige Lantern banned for? Who was his alter ego? Lol

I visit the batboards on occasion but I can't bother to invest any energy into them to actually care about whatever they're talking about. I need more than vague rumors about a movie that... has it even started filming yet???

I adore everything about the GotG movie coming up and I only started caring after seeing the trailer.

It stinks cause I'm actually excited for a lot of the things they're doing for BvS like Affleck and Eisenberg, but its nearly not even worth trying to go over there and talk about those thibgs lol. And lord knows you cant be open minded to any changes outside comic canon or a whole heap of posters are on your back..

I'm way more open to change than most, I like the idea of Jesse as Lex, and know that presentation of characters change... But you can't come into a place like SHH and talk about how stupid the source material is either and not expect push back. Not that's what I am saying you do, just a general observation.

Oh yeah, I certainly try and be as respectful as I can to the loyal comic people here. I try to stay as open as possible on all matters in comic book films in both decsions made right from the books or new adaptations. But you'll always run into the either heavy comic purists or the comics sucked so change them guy from time to time haha.

I enjoy the history comics have, but i also realize that set base can be modernized and improved upon in certain cases. I see a lot of "well if its not broke in the books why change it on the screen" which is a very valid point, but in most cases I wont lean either way until i actually get to see the final product. If I enjoyed the final outcome i can care less about thw comic accuracy or not, if it's there I consider it icing on the cake. But I certainly could never knock someone for wanting comic accuracy in a comic film lol.

This is true. There are certain posters for whom, after interacting with them for only a couple of days, you can tell there is a big underlying problem. There are quite a few who consistently come out of the wood work to speak out against "diversity" or inclusiveness or generally anything that isn't male, white, straight and crusty.

You just know that the Ban Hammer hangs over them like the Sword of Damocles.

Don't let a few irritating posters put you off (I hope I am not one of them). On the BvS boards, we get a constant influx of new idiots, many of whom are probably previously banned members, and that is exacerbated by more sensible posters choosing to stay away.

I remember the name CountOrlok but not much about him otherwise. Probably it stuck out for something he said that was outrageous though.

I always thought CounterOrlok was a previously banned user, who was putting on a pretty heavy persona to try and disguise himself. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Milost, who I actually liked a lot, but CounterOrlok never came off genuine to me. One minute he was making sense, and the next, he would get into these long drawn out debates that rarely had any kind of thought to them. I felt he was just baiting The Joker(SHH member) most of the time.

He would also flip on his opinions of the Nolan movies. One second he hated them more than me, the next, he's agreeing with Shauner about how great they were. But I dunno? I just think he was putting on an obvious shtick.

I assume you're talking solely about Superman boards because I was here when the B/S boards were made. Yeah, it's pretty bad at times.

The combination of those boards are actually calmer then their solo counterparts were in the past.
