The Dark Knight Bat Sonar: Love it or Hate it?

Although it didn't suit Batman, it was used with logic and I didn't really have problems. It was shown for just two minutes.

Yeah, but the device in Begins was plausible. It is actually real; it was on the History channel special last night. The way Nolan presented that device in Begins was real, it had a identifiable aesthetic to it...it just felt real.

The sonar POV in tdk seemed like it was just CGI of people with a blue tint. I'm not sure sonar even looks like that in real life. I would think it would look a little more geometric, a little rougher.

It was alright. I thought it got a bit much in the final showdown sequence. I couldn't help but think of Daredevil when it was on screen.

I thought the lenses looked badass, really well done, and realistic. I didn't like the pov shots, but that is just superficial nitpicking. I just wanted the sonar POV to look more geometric, rougher.

The concept was cool. He was really a "bat" in the last fight using sonar as echolation. I also like the way Wayne and Fox have that interaction in Hong Kong: "Sonar like a..... Submarine Mr. Wayne, Submarine" He was gonna say sonar like a bat until Fox cut him off with submarine.

I like that part...

By emitting high-pitched sounds and listening to the echoes, also known as sonar, microbats locate prey and other nearby objects.

That makes it 100% neat, in my book.

So I haven't seen the movie yet (until wednesday night) so the whole sonar sequence and the fights in it are all seen from bats POV? or just some of the fights in the whole final sequence? I was hoping that the final fight scenes would be clear for us to enjoy( Iam talking about bats beating joker's goons and the swat)

The sonar is just used to show the audience more or less where all the hostages, goons and SWAT are at when Lucious is relaying the info to Batman.

I did't mind it. I thought it was pretty cool.

I liked it because of the hommage it paid to the comic book look, plus I like the morals conflict between Bats and Lucius. A nice little slap in the face to The Patriot Act

Kinda neutral on it. It didnt come off as cheesy thankfully. It is what it is.
