Interesting turn of events - having Ben Affleck return.

I'm glad he gets a shot at leaving the role(?) on a high.

JL SC will repair some damage, this movie will also give us something to take home - trouble is, will this be a one shot for Batfleck or open the door?

Personally, I see it as redemption and a send of - I hope he enjoys the ride - BvS, SS, JL SC and Flashpoint - not a bad run.

So, ideas as to what we will see?

Whatever role Batfleck plays to the story I just hope it doesn’t make it more of a Zack Snyder movie and less of an Andy Muschetti movie. I get why he’s cast but still.....
WW and Aquaman did well by taking Gadot and Momoa out of the dour BvS and JL landscape, lighten it up and explore more about their character. What I expect from an Andy Muschetti Flash solo movie.

Yes, I feel like he wants to do the character some justice and not at the expense of his own art... also... I don't think it was a studio interference either - they now know better, the stars themselves wouldn't follow along... I think it could work, plus ben wouldn't continue the spiral...

If he’s like Tony Stark in Spider-Man: Homecoming that’s cool. As long as its more that than the Batman version of Into the Spiderverse disguised as a Flash movie.

In my opinion, I think Snyder getting his cut of Justice League may have motivated Affleck to return. It was all the drama of the Justice League shoots with studio interference that made Affleck quit on directing a DCEU Batman movie and leave the role. So maybe Affleck coming back is a sign that WB has most likely stopped interfering with the production of the DC movies.

Interesting, maybe he thought 'screw this' and walked away.. but now it looks to have settled.

I know a lot of people seem to prefer Bale, but I personally enjoyed Affleck's Batman more than any other.
