Thank God - I might consider watching it then. :D

It's really good. He's not the two dimensional character Superman's played out to be in some stuff.

Hahaha.

Wait...

Dude, you serious?

I think it would be cool if WB somehow pitted the two of them together in a short film (definitely less than a half-hour). Perhaps release it on DVD, or even play it before a future Supes or Batman movie, just make it not relate to either film. It'd be great to see Routh and Bale working together, kind of like Sandy Collora's "World's Finest".

I wouldn't want to see it as an actual 2-hour MOTION PICTURE however. The short film idea though, would be nice. A little treat for WB to maybe think about in the future.

I've never seen a Wolfgang Peterson movie that I liked. Please point me to one that you believe is good.

Das Boot, In the line of Fire.

Also the Perfect Storm and Air Force One.

Dude, you need to read more Superman stuff.

The only Superman comic I kind of read was "Superman for All seasons" by Jeph Loeb and didn't finish book. After that I watched the movies but I'm more interested in Batman.

Superman Birthright is my favorite Superman Story, I strongly recommend it. I am not a huge Superman comic fan, but Birthright is just something you cant afford to miss.

Is that kind of "Superman: Year One"?

I liked Air Force One, and the new Poseidon isn't bad.

But Troy was AWFUL. Just awful - it didn't follow the history or the mythology! And Orlando's character plumbed the absolute depths of cowardice.

i think MTV nabbed the rights to the World's Finest

Bale looks so bummy in that pic, lol
Didn't even know that was him until you said so.

Thanks for the spoilers, by the way - we Canucks don't see the Movie Awards until the 10th. :(

Das Boot, The Never Ending Story, Troy, Air Force One, Enemy Mine, The Perfect Storm and Poseidon are all excellent pictures.

Troy sucked balls. But I haven't seen any of those other ones

this was put up as news on batman on film...

and Routh has to be at least 6'4" if Bale is 6'2"

Who would win in a fight? Bale or Routh? And lets say they're each at the physical state of when they filmed their respective Superhero movies.

Routh is taller....but he just wouldn't scare me...

Bale is grittier and has fangs.....

my money's on Bale here....lower center of gravity...which makes him quicker than the lankier Routh...

I was just watching Firewall, which I rather enjoyed, and I do not know why it did not do better, and I realised that if there was a DKR movie done around now, Ford is probably the only guy who could do it.

And Bettney kicks ass as usual.

Any who, the point is, it got me thinking, IF they ever did a B&S film (hehe just noticed that, BS) I think it should be something like DKR mixed with the script that was done for Peterson's film.

Basically taking the two and merging them so that the peterson script elements that were NOt like the books are removed, and there could be ore focus on BOTH characters then there is in DKR (not that DKR should be any different as it is a bat's story, but for a BvsS film, wellm you know.

I think that this is one of the best ways for it to play out.

It would like DKR in how Begins had a lot of Year One in it. But I like how both of those works managed to pit Bats and Supes against eachother. Neither was so much the bad guy as it was their differences and the extenuating circumstances.
