I gotta say, I'm pretty excited about the costumes. I'm a sucker for alts. Not sure why.
Every comic based game should have tons of alternate costumes. Thats a big part of the fun for me. Having to unlock them through various game tasks just adds to that.It would be cool if that were tied to trophies/achievements

I hope catwoman gets her classic purple as an alt,

The Jim balent version HELL YEAH !!!

Anybody else find Val Kilmer's Bruce&Batman's underrated at all?,I also prefer Keaton&Bale But I think Val deserved some credit!Anyway.....How did this AC thread become a big debate on Burton's Bat films?,There's threads for that in the Misc.Batman Films section!

Back to topic,Can't f'n wait for this game!
I liked Kilmer's Bruce more. Even though I liked Keaton's Batman, his Bruce was completely boring and nothing like the comics. At least Kilmer's had more energy going on.

Bale's Bruce is the best, imo. I like to see him as Bruce probably as much as I like to see him as Batman.

have we seen footage from the PS3 version yet?

What's thircuth?
I think circus. Not sure what he meant by that, though. I mean, there was the scene where Bruce Wayne goes to the circus with Dr. Meridian Chase and that's when Two-Face takes over and Dick Grayson's parents were killed, but other than that, I haven't a clue.

I liked Keaton's Batman as well as Bale's.

Kilmer and Clooney could have been great......but their bat films were going in the wrong direction anyways........

wow! how did this thread turn into a Batman movie discussion thread?? lol

Because Bruce says

"I really gotta get you out of those clothes.... And into a black dress. Tell me doctor, do you enjoy the thircus?"

Clooney played Clooney. Nothing more.

too be fair.. Clooney does sorta share alot in common with Bruce's personality.. so.. eh.. lol. Ideally i'd say he's the actor to be most like bruce wayne on film.. though his movie was by far the worst.

Arkham city #4 is out and it's really good. without going into too many details yet
HqG9Y.png

- Hugo really puts Batman through hell with his elite Tyger force which Batman then turns the tables in his favor with help from Catwoman
- We see the formation of Catwoman's alliance with Poison Ivy
- Poison Ivy is located in the 'Central Gardens' within Arkham City's park.
- Catwoman warns Ivy to stay out of the park 'after dark'. Insinuating there may be something dangerous in there.
- Titan is causing Joker's vital's to fail as he begins to shows cellular degeneration in his face and is showing no sign of improving. This was diagnosed by a doctor in Arkham City.
- Batman learns that Hugo Strange is the puppet mastermind of Arkham city

The thing I didn't like about the 89 movie was that Bruce Wayne was portrayed as a socially inept weirdo. He had a hard time talking to Vikki Vale, he has dinner with her in that huge awkward room and asks her about the soup. He's Bruce Wayne! He's a playboy! Regardless of how he feels about a woman (a woman he actually likes or just some random bimbo he uses for his cover) he should be able to at least to charm and talk to her.

True, Bruce should be a charming playboy. But, I actually liked seeing how socially awkward he was. He seemed like someone who didn't get out much (because he doesn't), whose distant (because he is), and has problems with relationships (because he does). His was a little more...comedic in BR, though. That didn't work so much with me. But the social inept aspect was interesting to me.

But, yeah...not the way he's supposed to be. Bale's Bruce Wayne is pretty much pitch perfect with the way Bruce is supposed to be as a character.

But what really bugged me the most about all pre-Nolan movies was Gordon being portrayed as fat bumbling idiot. That bugged me even when I was a kid and all I knew about Batman was from TAS.

True. Gordon was pretty much useless.

Keaton's performance is the only reason that film is watchable. I hate the Gotham that Burton gave us.

And Pfeiffer...

I thought Burtons Penguin character was way better than the comics.
He's kind of like the elephant man or hunchback of notre dame of they actively attempted to inflict suffering society for shunning them. The opening to Returns is just magically grim.

I agree, actually. Before the Arkham City version was announced, I always thought Penguin was a very boring character and preferred Burton's version.

Actually, thinking about it, I prefer the criminally insane version of Catwoman over the cat-burglar versions too.

Eh...Zombie Catwoman is something I didn't like.

Pfeiffer made it work, because she was great. But her being brought back to life by hundreds of homeless cats was...just too ****ing weird for me.

Killer Croc? Would explain why Catwoman only warns Ivy since Ivy did make Batman enter Croc's lair in AA, so he could be out for revenge on her...just a thought.
