Batman: Arkham City

This augmented reality training challenge where you have to glide down the tunnel is @#$%^&*

I have seriously been trying it all damn day.

arkham city... one of if not the greatest comic book video game of all time. of ALL TIME

I can do it fine now with little to no hassles, but back in 2011 when I first tried it....the amount of swear words uttered when trying to complete it lol.

Same here but soon as I got grapnel boost I didn't care finishing the rest because - to get a trophy for this not worth getting unless you want to get 100%. It was really a frustration for me.

I'm a trophy chaser, so I had to get it done, but I distinctly remember much frustration on the initial run through. Lots of the proclamations that the mission was stupid and questions as to why bother. You know, the usual.

It was a frustration thing for me too - keep doing same thing over, over and over again.....

It's probably the hardest obstacle to get past in the whole series. Beating Clayface or the Joker was easier than that.

I really don't get the complaints with the boss battles. They're fine to me anyway.

I used to throw controllers back in the SNES days but they're way too expensive any more. So I chuck my shoes instead.

Anyway, I'm moving on since I already got the grapple extension. Life's too short.

Annoying challenges aside, this game is freaking amazing. Asylum was incredible but add in the free-roaminess of City right from the start and damn.

I'm Batman.

Yeah I hated the VR challenges because I mean, you don't really use that for the rest of the game. Some just took me forever to pull off.

The release I felt when I finally managed that. Almost unparalleled.

Never in a million years would I have guessed Nolan North was the Penguin in this.

Which one? In the bowery or down by the steel mill? Both were real boogers to complete, but the latter was the one that finally gave me my last trophy.

The one near the steel mill, where you leap off the Tricorner Naval sign. Ugh! Still haven't got it.

I hated the augmented reality training challenge at Joker's territory. That was so ****ing hard.

I gave up long a go. Most difficult thing.
This person makes it easy: It's from 00:00 to 00:21.

Main story - complete.

Riddler challenges, including physical challenges & catwoman stuff - complete.

Augmented Reality training - complete.

Still have Harley DLC to do, as well as putter around with Riddler's Revenge stuff. Highly doubt I will 100% all that crap. I hate that the predator maps are timed.

Anyway this game was ****ing AMAZING, seriously it earns a spot in my top 5 games of all time, that's how much I loved it. Despite some stupidity and laziness towards the end of the main story.

What's the skinny on Origins? I know from various reviews it was kind of half-assed & rushed, is it still worth a go do you think or best to skip it and wait for Arkham Knight?

Quick cash grab, but I guess it's worth a rental. :o

As a gaming experience it's so-so. Certainly rushed and not as polished as Rocksteady...

However, as a Batman experience, it's pretty darn fun, with excellent characterizations and an engaging story.
