Batman Beyond

Thanks
I also made a movie poster, but i dont like the font, but it was the best one from GIMPS limited selection
Ok, this is my first serious take on a poster, one i actually tried on, and im really happy with how it came out. It went through a few changes. First was gonna be the Batman logo with Melanie,Terry, and Dana in it(like this one) but instead of the city, it would have Derek Powers(James Woods) and Bruce Wayne(Clint Eastwood) in the corners, but that ended up looking like ****, then on to my second Idea. Loosely based on Batman Beyond #1(The Comic) with the floating heads and batman in the sky. Instead of the Terry and Bruce heads like the comic, i had Bruce,Melanie, and Dana, with Terry in the sky.(not flying, just him fading out from the bottom), but as much as I liked it, i couldnt get it to look right, so i scrapped that and got this
-I know the font isnt very ''Batman Beyondish'', but it was the only one i liked from GIMPS limited selection of font styles.
-And as you see, the Bat logo is different from the one of the cosrume(which is the regular beyond symbol). Much like Batman begins, i have 2 symbols because one didnt work on the costume- but the otherway around, in my poster, the regular beyond symbol didnt work for the poster, the logo is very much like the Begins logo, but the edges arent as sharp and are more rounded.
-Finally, i thought to myself,'' Who do i think can direct a futuristic movie?'', and right away i thought James Cameron. Why you may ask? I love his terminator movies, and his Dark Angel TV Series(the only piece of work where Alba was actually good, i have yet to watch the seasons, ive had them for a while but never got around to watching them, but that doesnt mean ive never watched the show before!) so i thought he could handle something like this.

BTW,my cast is:

Thomas Dekker-Terry Mcguinness/Batman
Clint Eastwood-Bruce Wayne(seriously, compare him to a pic of BB's Wayne, its Uncanny! As much as id like Keaton to play Bruce, i just think Clint is perfect)
James Woods-Derek Powers/Blight
Kristin Kreuk-Dana Tan(Again, her looks are pretty uncanny. And ya, i know shes kinda old compaired to Dekker, but shes still got a very young look to her(ya shes only 25 but ya know what i mean) and she can play someone younger IMO)
Amber Heard-Melanie Walker/Ten(My original choice was Degrassi's Miriam McDonald, but she has no good pictures, but then, i remember seeing Dereks Supergirl Manip with Amber, and I was just looking at pics, and i was like ,''Holy ****, this girl looks like Melanie!''(IMO of course) so again, her looks are pretty uncanny IMO)
Susan Surandon-Commisoner Barbara Gordon(I know, Babs has short white hair now, but I just love Surandon and Id love to see her in the role. Original Choice was Judi Dench, but im not sure if she can get rid of the accent)
Jack Nicholson-Joker(C'mon, we gotta have Jack as Mr. J one last time!)

And Jason Isaacs would kill as Blight

Awesome choice. He'd be an awesome villain.

As for Terry, I never had a really set choice. Ian Somerhalder always struck me as the brooding type though. At the very least he has the eyes and look of intensity for the role.

Him and Jonathan Bennett would have been great if they decided to make a movie a few years ago, but i think they're almost 30 now

Eh, they still could pass off in their 20s.

I'd say make terry a college student instead of high school and it deals with the age thing.

have his father die when he's in his twenties and voila...

Hey, I loved that plotline, it makes great sense, and also, there's no way that Matt McGuiness could be Terry's dad, he's such a milquetoast of a man to begin with. It's too bad Bruce couldn't get married to either Selina or Babs, but this guy didn't want a ball and chain, and so that's how he lived his life.

Having a kid this way makes a lot of sense, don't you think?

Sorry no, its sounds like a poorly concieved and all too obvious plot-point, i think it would have been much better if Terry WASNT Bruce's son, yet he found the same will and determination to fight crime he had at terry's age in someone who is a total stranger, that is much more interesting to me.

Over the past five years I have discussed a Batman Beyond movie on this message board. And my casting has pretty much stayed the same:

MICHAEL KEATON - BRUCE WAYNE

PIERCE BROSNAN - DEREK POWERS/BLIGHT

KRISTIN KRUEK - DANA

As much as I love the series, that would work much better for a movie, imo. I don't think people could take a teenage Batman seriously.

when i hear teenagers i think of people from college musical and they are way too young for this...

disney's college musical thingie

the name currently escapes me, I've hit a mental block.

i think Kreuk is like the only choice for Dana IMO. and shes still got a baby face that can work to her advantage at playing someone younger

I like Ian Somerhalder for The Batman in a Batman / Superman crossover film staring: Tom Welling as Supes :woot:.

 Nice choice for Terry.

I always loved Lance Henriksen for Bruce in a Batman Beyond live action adaption.

I'd have been cool with Kreuk as Dana back when Smallville first started, but now it's kinda ridiculous
why is it ridiculous? Plus Dana was never that big of a character, which suprised me considering she was Terrys GF, im suprised she was such a small character

Kristin Kreuk is too old. She can't play a high schooler anymore. Like that one poster said, I would've been ok with her in the role back when Smallville just began, but now it wouldn't work.

shes only 25 i think ,she isnt that old, but ya i think they do need someone younger

Terry didn't have time for a girlfriend. Hence why she was such a small character. You never saw her cause he didn't have time to be with her. HOWEVER...I guarantee that if a live-action movie were ever made the filmmakers would give the character A LOT of screen time. I wouldn't be surprised if the actress got third billing under the actors playing Bruce and Terry.

Has there been any discussion about the cowl? Obviously you wouldn't be able to make it completely cover his face like that. Would the traditional cowl work just the same?

i agree i think it could work just fine...dont change a thing on the costume
