My picks:

Jake Gyllenhaal (5'11", 36 years old)
Lee Pace (6'5", 38 years old)

Back-Ups:

Oscar Isaac (5'9", 38 years old)
Wes Bentley (5'11", 39 years old)

I'll tell you what, Lee Pace is looking better and better by the day.

- Very tall
- Slender, athletic frame
- Dark hair
- Blue eyes
- Deep, commanding voice
- Talented actor, but not a big name

I really like the Pace suggestion.

And maybe I'm alone in this, but I really loved him as Ronan.

Warming up to Pace. Him and Armie are my backups. Jake is more talented so im going with him. The emotion, the rage, his name alone could attract great talent as well.

I really, REALLY don't get what people see in Hammer for this. I feel like the only reason why people keep mentioning him is because of the whole Justice League Mortal thing. But the majority of the other casting decisions on that movie were flat out awful so I don't see why Hammer keeps getting propped up.

Well, I'm only down with him now because he's going to be coming off an Oscar Nom most likely, he could fit as a younger Affleck Batman, and he has history with Cavill on screen so if they want to do Justice League again..

I want Jake for a stand alone Batman trilogy. However, I don't see him working in a Justice League where we're supposed to act like he's playing Batfleck and has all this stupid history with Diana and Clark. I don't want that.

Try to ignore the silly haircut.

The one knock I have against Pace is the same knock I had against Bale, in that he has a weak jaw. So they'd have to structure the cowl to work around that. Gyllenhaal has him beat in that regard.

They could ignore all of that or flashpoint it. Ignoring it is easier. Soft reboot it. Never bring up what happened before. Or just flashpoint it.

Hammer is stiff. :( I don't like him for much of anything.

But it's always going to be in the back of our minds. You can't exactly flashpoint it. They need some level of familiarity with each other because they're not going to meet each other all over again. So naturally our minds drift to what happened between Gadot, Cavill and Affleck. I just want a clean slate.

If Hammer becomes Batman, will they have to digitally erase his testicles hanging out of the batsuit?

Oh, I hadn't heard that. What film are you referring to?

I’d be cool with Lee Pace.

I don't understand the idea of Oscar Isaac, fine actor, but nothing about him says "Batman" to me. Lee pace however, is an interesting idea. The more I think about it, the more I like it.

Isaac is a top talent, but he seems a bit too slight to play Batman to me. I'm not usually hung up on height but I've seen too many movies where people tower over him.

Sorry but Bruce can't be a latino or black man. He is a white, old money dude who uses that to do what most white privileged people would never do in a million years. His name is BRUCE WAYNE for crying out loud. You just think of that name and "white privilege" should come to mind lol.

Ihonestly think Elba would’ve been a great choice for Batman in BVS

I just think it goes against the character. Not that Elba couldn't do a good job.

Oscar Isaac plays tons of non-latino characters. He doesn't go by his birth last-name so he didn't have to suffer being stereotyped into only being offered latino roles.

I'm not voting for him as Bruce Wayne but he has as much right to be considered as any other actor.

As someone who grew up around a lot of latinos, he doesn't.

Or at least Italian. Anyways, I've said it before, i would still welcome it because of his talent. But he's also too short in my opinion. Unless he's taller than he looks? Id rather cast him in a villainous mobster role. Black Mask maybe.

Well now I extra want Oscar Isaac out of spite.
