Instead of being like everyone else and going with the herd by picking Gyllenhaal these are the actors DC/WB should consider for replacing Affleck:
- Alex O'Loughlin
- Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
- Armie Hammer
- Josh Hartnett
- Michael Fassbender
- Jon Hamm
- Colin Farrell
- Matt Bomer
That early style ears don't look good at all in live action.
Maybe theyre waiting for Flashpoint. At the end of the movie Jake Gyllenhaal will appear in the bat-suit and Flash will be all like wtf? and everyone else will be all like wut? hes looked that way all the time.

I think you're missing Nathan Filllion there.
Jake Gyllenhaal makes way more sense for Bruce over Hal. I dont get why people cant see Batman inhim. Watch enough of his movies and youll see he has the intensity required
Bradley Cooper would kill it as joker. I don't see him as Batman personally
Oh neat, someone finally said it. He's another Grayson or Todd pick as great of an actor he is. Cilian Murphy looks nothing like how I'd imagine Wayne to be, but even his b-roll tape showcased an apt performance.I've seen a good portion of his movies (Knightcrawler, Southpaw, Source Code, Prisoners, Zodiac, Day After Tomorrow, Donnie Darko, Jarhead) I just don't see Batman in him, I think he can bring some intensity to roles, it's just not as strong of a presence as I would like to see for Batman. I don't know how to put it, it's just not commanding enough IMO, maybe it's his voice. He's as believable as he can be in intense roles, but I don't think it's enough for Batman, to me that's another level.
I actually kind of have a hard time picking a perfect DC role for Jake, despite his talent. Hal isn't exactly a perfect fit for him either, but I think it's a much, much better fit than Batman.

Still think Jake Gyllenhaal is better suited to play Hal Jordan, and would be one of my top choices for that role (behind Bradley Cooper), but I do think he would be an upgrade over the mostly dull Ben Affleck. Actually come to think of it, I might like the idea of Bradley Cooper as Batman more than Jake too. Nothing wrong with Jake at all, just don't think he's a great fit for Batman.
Now that his run as Magneto will be over since Fox is going to Disney, Michael Fassbender would actually be my top choice, well, top choice besides bringing Christian Bale back, which I know won't happen. I also still like Karl Urban for Batman more than Jake as well.
All that said, again, I'm not fully against Jake, but I just don't think it's a great fit despite the fact he's one of the 5 or 10 best active actors right now.
