I just want a shot of Batman standing still beside a statue and then he suddenly moves his head. It would be iconic.

I'd like to see them crack the code and give us a form-fitting cowl that isn't made of rubber. Bonus points if the cowl and cape are one piece.

Fully CGI Batman for The Batman.

The cape and cowl should not be one piece.

"What's wrong with your face?"

Trying his best Keaton impression. He just doesn't have the lips for it.

To be fair Batman in JL also provided a pretty unintentionally hilarious face when he gave that stupid ***** eating grin when Superman came back.

It's like they tried to solve the problem of BvS Batman...with another problem.

To be honest, I just want a recreation of the shot from Batman: Dead End when his cape envelops his crouched body in the rain and he just slowly rises up like he's a demon that's literally coming up from hell, with the score getting louder and louder. That would give me chills.

If they go younger

1- Ryan Guzman (30 years old)
2- Richard Madden (31 years old)
3- Nicholas Hoult (28 years old)
4- Jeremy Irvine (27 years old)
5- Hunter Parrish (30 years old)
6- Tyler Hoechlin (30 years old)
7- Wes Bentley (39 years old)
8- Jake Gyllenhaal (37 years old)
9- Luke Evans (38 years old)
10- Scott Adkins (41 years old)

Seriously, I could only see Gyllenhaal pulling it off from that list. Hoult? He comes across as way to child like. Scott Adkins???? Maybe as a stunt double.

I like Luke Evans and there is a place for him in DCEU. But not as Batman.

Any of these three and I'm game:

Jake Gyllenhaal
Lee Pace
Tom Cullen

Lee Pace?

Funny enough I thought he was in Mute.

If they're going with someone older then how about James Purefoy?

If this were made 15 years ago, Purefoy would’ve been awesome. Watching Knights Tale and think of him as Bats.

If they stay with an older Batman then Purefoy would actually be great but as far as younger Batman goes then everyone is saying Gyllenhaal but will DC/WB even go out of their way to reach out to him? Would Jake even want to do it?

The reason Jake Gyllenhaal keeps coming up as the frontrunner to replace Affleck is because Matt Reeves already met with some actors last year for a possible new Batman actor amidst the Affleck drama and reportedly Gyllenhaal was the one Reeves walked away wanting to work with.

Yeah but would Gyllenhaal even want to play Batman? I mean what if he wants to play another character in the DCEU? Those are things that DC have to take into consideration before hiring any actor in any role

I would go after someone B list at least to play Batman...similarly to when Christian Bale was cast way back in 05 to play Batman it was more or less a breakout role for him because back then way back before Batman Begins he wasn't A list

Or when Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Tony Stark/Iron Man back in 2008 he wasn't A list

They should go after someone with not so much as name recognition as Gyllenhaal

Someone who can use the role as a breakout role

I'm of the affliction that I don't really care if they're established or not. I just want the best guy for the job. Does that mean I'm more likely to know and fan cast established and well known guys? Sure. But still.
