That's a very good point. I think that, back when Nolan was still in charge of the Bat-verse, you had A-List actors willing to sign on without even seeing a script. But after BvS and JL, they're probably like, "Yeah... why don't you finish writing this thing first, and then we'll talk."

So I might have a little weird casting suggestion that I haven't seen yet. I was watching The Crown, and the idea of Matt Smith as Bruce Wayne/Batman popped into my head. I'm not sure why exactly that happened, but I could see it. I could also see him as the Joker, kinda similar to how I could see Bale and Keaton as both Batman and the Joker.

And he looks great in the suit:
