You're not playing the game right!

(the next actor should be Andy Garcia)

I thought we were listing shorties, but okay.
Lil Gotham THE MOVIE
latest

Since they're shooting Joaqin's Joker movie this year (which could be very interesting, I mean it's Joaquin), I hope if it's well received, they manage to get Joaquin's Joker into Reeves' movie for a one-off, since his Joker film might not be the full fledged Joker and Reeves' movies might be prequels, just set it in the 90s and age Joaquin's character up by 10 years or something.

Richard Armitage confirmed he auditioned for Batman and was on the shortlist of six actors to land the role before Affleck eventual got it.

He is too old for the role now. He would make a good Black Mask though

I think he found his niche playing villains and shady scumbag types like he does in Westworld, The Punisher and Dorian Grey.

I'm curious who the other 4 actors who were shortlisted for the role.

why again are they doing a Joker origin film?

But I will agree with you on Height, with all the camera tricks they have put there today, I really don’t see the problem in casting someone on the shorter side like an Oscar Issac

5'10 is arguably okay. Gyllenhaal is 5'11. It's difficult to find many 6'2 leading man who can pull off Batman. But Oscar Isaac is def way too short. Would they have him wearing 4 inch lifts? He'd be far better as the Penguin.

I really don't want anymore short Batmen. It would be a shame to go from 6'1 Bale and 6'4 Affleck to a 5'9 Jake Johnson..

I believe Affleck is 6'2.5 He has a huge head so maybe that's why folks report him as 6'4.

I'd be very intrigued to see Reeves start from scratch, casting-wise. He never really goes A-list with regards to lead roles. The cast of Cloverfield was all up-and-comers, same with the leads of Let Me In. His Apes movies were a mix of a CGI main character, fairly recognizable antagonists (Harrelson, Oldman), and moderately well-known humans caught in the middle (Keri Russell, Jason Clarke).

As much as I would love to see someone like Jake Gyllenhaal or Oscar Isaac under the cowl, I think Reeves is going to go with a fresh face. Someone he can help to gain steam in their career, rather than just be another notch in their belt.

That's where Finn Whittrock comes in :woot:

He's a Dick Grayson through and through.

So, if we were getting a Morrison/Quitely Batman and Robin adaptation, sure. But...

Jamie's fantastic in The Fall, and he undoubtedly carries that mysterious sex appeal none of the other actors have had but fits Bruce so well.

My only hesitance is how much of the 50 Shades stink would linger on him, though I suppose it wouldn't be any worse than the response to Affleck.
