Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 3

That’s always been the most important quality for Batman. I couldn’t even get past the previous films because they didn’t have that.

some folks get annoyed over the discussion on the right height for Batman/Bruce Wayne, but i find the idea of his eye color holding some value to be more odd.

Been thinking about it, and maybe Oscar Isaac is our guy. It seems obvious when you think about it.

:hmm
I can see it

If we don’t hear anything after comic con, then I’m officially miffed.

Oscar Issac would be a terrible Batman IMO. Guess nobody learned anything from his terrible performance in X-Men Apocalypse. Another actor who has big hype on this site for some reason I'll never understand.

X-Men: Apocalypse had many, many problems going on. While the character himself was riddled with problems, Oscar Isaac himself was not a bad casting choice at all.

If you want to see what Isaac's capable of, you should see him in non-blockbuster works. Dude's done some tremendous work with Alex Garland in Ex Machina and Annihilation, plus the lead role in a Coen Brothers' film. Dude has an energy about him that would compliment Batman tremendously well, in a vein similar to Keaton IMO.

Inside Llewyn Davis
A Most Violent Year
Ex Machina
Annihilation

That's why.

He was a horrendous choice for Apocalypse, I said that from Day 1, and he went on to give a horrible performance. I knew someone would say "But watch this other movie he was in", I've seen those movies too, there is nothing special about Oscar Issac's acting. But more importantly, even if he was this great talent, he's still not a good fit for Batman.

Thankfully, he's probably not up for the role, so I won't argue with you guys. Oscar Issac does nothing for me, he's highly overrated on this site. He's a slightly above average actor.

I declare Dobson...

Yeah, I don't see Oscar Isaac as Batman, and I like him as an actor. Put him as Black Mask, and then I could see it.

I'm iffy on Isaac as Batman, but Dobson really seems to have a hate-on for the guy. Disliking him in Apocalypse I can understand, but Isaac has been great in pretty much everything else he's been in, lately.
