Batman/Bruce Wayne Casting Thread - Part 6

Robert Pattinson or Chris Abbott for me. Just please no Hoult or ATJ.

Got my list narrowed down to these three:

Christopher Abbott (My #1 choice)
Robert Pattinson (My close-second choice)
Ethan Peck (My wild-card choice that I'm more curious about than anything else)

If by some chance it's any one of these three, I'll be a pig in ****.

Abbott and Pattinson are my two favorites, for sure. I'd be extremely happy with either one

Pattinson is definitely my top choice for bats but I can’t see him signing on for multiple films.
I want a trilogy goddamnit.

If Bats doesn't work out, I wouldn't mind Pattinson having a crack at Joker instead.

Would be an interesting performance to be sure, and it's similar to how Ledger got the part too (as he discussed Batman with Nolan for BB).

Peck looks and sounds the part, but I can't say anything about his acting. Give him an audition indeed.
Pattinson is probably my top choice at the moment. He has acting, looks, brooding expression and leading man qualities. He can bring something of his own, that will be different from previous Batman actors.

Yeah, maybe it's just his look, but Pattinson feels more like a Joker candidate than Batman to me.

I don't think WB would've dated the movie a couple months back if they sensed things weren't going to work out.

In any case, it just depends on when production is starting. Could be as early as June, could be as late as September.

We may have a few more months of this, so might as well get comfy.

We where going to get it today, but then WB saw your post and decided to make you wait a bit more.

Peck - no one wants him except for a few people, he's not talked about in circles.

ATJ - Heard some stuff about him but then it's all died out, much like his career.

Pattinson is in no way going to be in this - he is far too busy and it's not on the cards.

These people aren't even that good for a REEVESIAN style Batman. we all know who the choice is.

Tellaarr... forevarrr.. learn to embrace his talents and looks. He will stun in the role once cast

It clearly discussed Teller as a contender for the role. Where is Peck? No where.

The media has now published several articles mentioning Tellaarr as a consideration and hot ticket item for Bruce Wayne. He's really the only one who can elevate the role to potentially beyond the comic material.

Jesus christ, Reeves isn't dropping out. I'm more concerned about the Game Night guys dropping out of Flash because of Ezra Miller, but Reeves seems to be the one delaying this film to work on the script

Im surprised by how on-board the DCEU subreddit is with the idea of Pattinson as Batman. Almost a thousand upvotes and no negative comments. Hope WB is taking notice (which they most likely are since they do keep an eye open for social media)
