LMAO

Yeah, I think Hardy got caught in the dome and a lip epidemic broke out.

Look I don't care who plays Batman as long as he looks good shirtless and has at least two shirtless scenes or an optional shower scene, I'll be very happy. :D

I hope Warners and Snyder surprises and delights me with whomever they choose. I remember being surprised and delighted when Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne were cast in their respective roles. That's what I keep telling myself when I look at some of these choices on here...

I want those things as well...the actor has to be right and good in the role though.

Im pretty sure Fassbender is out. He has way too many franchises on his table. Xmen, a possible Prometheus sequel, etc etc. Hes 36, which isnt a deathblow to his chances to get the character, but it is a strike. The final strike on Fassbender is that he is Magneto. Its going to be extremely awkward for him to go from a villain for Marvel to a hero for DC. I just dont ever see it happening.

So Fassbender is definitely out

The move has been done countless times - Halle Berry and Ryan Reynolds are the big names that come to mind for the move from Marvel to DC (and back again for Berry) but there are a few others.

Fassbender is too big a name now for Fox to be p-d off that he'd do a DC character.

For me in order from best to worst looking in the cowl

Best
Gyllenhaal (his pronounced Philtrum looks nice)
Brolin
Gosling
Crudup
Macht
Hamm
Urban
Kitsch (Lips are too big/pronounced)
Worst

Brolin looks best in the cowl. Crudup and Hamm are tied for second place. Gosling looks ridiculous in it, as suspected. Gylllenhaal looks too much like.. erm.. Gyllenhaal (the disguise is ineffective for him). The rest of them aren't worth mentioning.

Maybe you can use this image for Wes (if you're up to it). Fassbender also. Hell! Might as well throw in Hoechlin and McIntyre too -- just to see how they'd look in the cowl.

Yes but you need to show his eyes in it too, the kid can't put his eyes in it.

Would Gerard Butler be a possible candidate? He has worked with Snyder before...

I meant as a superhero man. How many heroes have been casted with Americans recently and how many have been foreign? Canadians are foreign btw.

Well...America needs better actors first.

Whoever said Wes Bentley; It's a very inspired left field choice, good job on that.

I've never seen a great performance from him though.

I don't want foreigners playing him because we already have a foreigner playing superman, give us Americans a chance man.

Completely agree, when are American actors finally gonna be able to get any roles in Hollywood

I loathe this attitude. It seems like the pettiest xenophobia. Bale, Cavill, Jackman etc got their roles because they were the best fit for them. There is no conspiracy against Murica, and we are not takin' your jobs 'n' your wimmin.

He's 43, a lousy actor most of the time and his American accent is laughable. I would cry if he were allowed anywhere near this film. And I'm only being a little over the top.

Gerard would be the worse because his american accent is awful.

I think he is really good in American Beauty. Then again I love that movie to death, so I might be a bit biased.

Ha ha. A scathing review of the guy's talents or lack thereof. Just mentioned him since no one else brought up his name. He's not the worst actor out there but no way is he good enough to play a complex anti-hero like Batman/Bruce Wayne.

Fassbender is still my no.1 choice. Has been even before the conclusion of The Dark Knight trilogy. I know it's a long shot but perhaps Days Of Future Past might be his last outing as Magneto, especially if the film bombs.

Will be interesting to see if we get a new Alfred and Gordon too. It's going to be hard to shape Bruce's character and world without those two key characters.

I love American Beauty, but I never thought Bentley was any sort of revelation in it.

For those who think some of thses actors might make a decent Barry Allen,
Deadlne is reporting today that The CW is developing a series for The Flash.

The CW also has Arrow and they are still developing Amazon for Wonder Woman.
Since the CW is slowly assembling there own Justice League on TV ,
I thnk we should consider the possibility the that an actor from television might stll be cast as The Batman.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how you jumped to that conclusion seeing as how they aren't developing a Batman T.V show. Batman had a billion dollar movie franchise, he isn't Flash or Wonder Woman.

If they go for an older Batman...then I'll fight tooth and nail for Jim Cavizel.

For the record, I'd bet my life that they won't cast anyone over 40. Pretty confident they won't even cast someone over 35. Just seems like they'll shoot for a Marvel films type deal. And while casting RDJ throws a wrench in the theory...I think they'll be looking for a younger actor. But, if I had choose someone older, and other than Christian Bale...

Not jumping to any conclusions , just feel that it is stll possible that the next Batman could come from the world of Television.
I would rather have my mind open to that possibility , than to be totally shocked by it as many here would be because they have already ruled it out .
All I am saying is that I dont thnk WB has ruled out any possibilty.
