New symbol, who cares...

They threw that together last minute. That won't even be the symbol even if Bale/Nolan Mythology isn't back. It doesn't mesh with the MOS \S/ at all, while the TDK logo looks beautiful with it.

How can he help when he's supposed to be dead AGAIN and he has no money or company?

Batman is DEAD as he thinks he does not need him anymore, Bruce Wayne can be back in capacity with Lex to rebuild a city as he was able to do with Gotham. This of course sets the stage for him to bring back Batman as needed. He thought all he would deal with is Gotham, but now he will see the rest of the world could use him as well.

Does the MOS symbol work with TDK's?

There's no way Bruce Wayne is completely broke at the end of TDKR. A guy like that has tons of offshore and off the books accounts along with some dummy corporations. That was how he was financing his Bat stuff.

But Bruce doesn't have Lex's equal power anymore.

It's not like Bruce Wayne ever appeared to be dead and came back to work... Oh wait. Batman Begins.

Alfred still has a ton of Wayne cash and Robin has the keys to the tools.

He doesn't need his mansion, even if he comes out of hiding (BW came back from the dead already) he can use his penthouse or just own another penthouse in Metropolis. BOOM.

I think Bale could only come back if he signed on for additional solo films too.

no. not really. you don't put your cash cow in a corner. if all he decided to do were justice league movies, that's be fine. it'd given warner more time to focus on other characters.

Works the best of all Batsymbols, with the wings out farther and the head right above the \S/. There has to by fan art somewhere online, I've been drawing \S/ on the Nolan Batsymbol since 2004.

Plus, Batman doesn't technically need Wayne cash... he has all of his extra/duplicate tools in storage at the bunker.

Plus the fact that Bale is still at a decent age but looks youthful and fit enough to play Batman. It is almost like taking away the actor at his prime of playing the character. In a way, the entire trilogy of Nolan's Batman feels like early stages of what he would ultimately become. We see the first time he deals with Joker, Ras, etc...We did not see him fully come out with his intelligence, just hints throughout different films where he surprises Fox to some extent. Give him a reason to come back and show why he is the DETECTIVE as well as THE BATMAN!
What would be cool is if he returns and Snyder makes him a new suit, which makes sense with the story because there's no more bat suits left at the moment. Don't bring back Lucious Fox at all, just have Bruce be the detective, veteran Batman.

I don't see why TDKR stops the possibility of Bruce Wayne getting involved. I think that once he sees news of destruction of the city Metropolis he will feel the need to put out a helping hand as he managed to help bring Gotham back. It gives Bruce Wayne a reason to be back in action. It also gives a reason why he would meet with Lex. He will then at some point need to bring his alter ego into the situation, and Batman is back.
I truly believe that Nolan's Batman would get back into the game if Superman showed up or something so alien and threatening. It's easy to say it's a more grounded world with no super-powered beings, fair enough. But the only way I see Bale's Batman returning is if that world was hit with something so dangerous like Superman or an alien invasion. Otherwise Bruce would stay happy and leave things to Blake for as long as Blake wants.

I asked this in another thread but what does Bale have on at the moment? I know he just finished American Hustle and Out of the Furnace.
The only thing on his plate now is Exodus which shoots specifically from October to February. If they start in March or April, it's perfect timing.

I'm starting to get major whiplash from this whole Bale thing. Every time I feel like I've made peace with him being done with the role, El May chimes in with something that keeps the rumor alive.

As much as I feel rebooting is ultimately the right thing to do here long term, the fact that this movie is coming so soon off the heels of the trilogy does make me wonder if getting Bale back no matter the cost is the smarter play.

Ugh, feel so torn. I feel there's a lot to be said for quitting while you're ahead, but at the same time there is nobody they can cast that would give this movie the same degree of magnitude that a returning Bale would.

And the idea of Bale playing a different Batman is a bit troubling for me.
It would make sense since they've announced a summer 2015 release. 3 years after Rises. And don't forget, there's a LOT of the general public who have only seen this movie this year because of Blu-ray releases. Plus theyre releasing a trilogy boxset in the fall. The fall would be the announcement of a new actor for Bats. It might be good timing to close 1 chapter while opening another, but it also may be too soon to move on.

Im actually worried with the casting. Because I trust in Snyder to nail the visuals of Batman better than he's ever looked in live-action. But Im worried about fans reactions and non-fans to the new casting. What if they don't get a great actor like Fassbender, Gosling or the likes of Gyllenhaal, Bentley, etc. What if they get a Manganiello or Adkins and he fits the new version but he's AVERAGE in the acting department. Wooden even....

The way I see it. Robin can handle Gotham right now, and Batman can move on to the world. I'm also certain "Applied Sciences" has plenty of things in the bag that could bring him back a fortune. Would Batman venture off to selling products to the military? Dunno. Could Lex manipulate him into a situation and he discovers the foe he is actually dealing with before Superman even sees it? Interesting.

It's a different Bat symbol. ...Bale's Bruce. .ain't. ..ah **** it :oldrazz:

Yeah, but don't forget in MOS it was the SAME Wayne Enterprises Logo from TDK Trilogy! lol! Logos are irrelevant in regards to this truthfully.

The whole thing will just look ludicrous imo.

He's still crippled.
He has no power or influence as Bruce Wayne anymore.
Countless other reasons.

It's just a messy idea all round.

I don't know. ..

Think of it this way. The Batman we saw in the trilogy was pre-alien invasion. Man of Steel came out after these movies, so it could easily be something new that brings Bruce Wayne out of his fantasy world with Selina. Batman could move beyond Gotham as his protege is there now.

The "new" bat symbol with the MoS \S/ looks cool in some places not in others. I think this one looks awesome (1:25) -

Oh yeah, I'm liking the Robin stays in Gotham notion while Bruce masquerades around as a nobody or himself (basically just for Batman's sake) notion.

Very Batman Inc. esque... He can grow the symbol, protect us from other worldy issues (Superman but actually Lex).

He isn't crippled. How did Bruce Wayne make the jump out of the pit if his leg was still messed up? I assumed Fox's technology wasn't just a brace, but it fixed his leg, otherwise he couldn't have made the jump.

It makes sense to me if this is the way they go with it. However, is it ever said when MoS takes place because TDKR takes place in 2014 (approximately). The TDK world could easily be a pre-first contact world. There is nothing to suggest stuff like MoS has happened before.

Also, we don't need Selina in tow... just say she stayed in France to be all Catwoman as 'Robin Hood' like in the Brubaker/Cooke run for Batman Inc.

That could lead to a sweet off shoot film where Anne has her sexy short hair in the suit, too.

And it's more importantly it's still just a movie! So in the immortal words of this legendary villain....
