As for Ghost Rider, don't think you should hold that against Wes. Look at JGL in the first GI Joe. That stuff is more about the character and direction in a silly movie. Ill check out what he did in the movie though, since I haven't seen it.

If Man From Uncle doesn't get cancelled, then isn't it supposed to start shooting in Sept? You figure they would film through Dec. Cavill would need time to hit the gym between Man from Uncle and WF.

The Man From Uncle budget was cut:

Byrne is also in consideration for a role in “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” but sources say the budget was cut on the film and it may have been hard to finalize a deal if an offer was presented to Byrne.

Interstellar filming begin next week.

Yeah. I know the budget was cut. I mentioned it in another forum. I'm wondering if it's still a go or if the plug will be pulled on it.

If Gosling says he is taking a break from acting and directing, then Batman may have less of a chance. Though when actors say they're taking a break, don't put much stock in it. I can't speak for him, but perhaps playing a big superhero in a comic book film isn't something he would like to do as a creative choice right now. But then again, the next time it comes around, he might be too old.
Well I trust in Latino Review that Gosling had a meeting for Star Wars. So that's a 2014 shoot. He said he was taking a break from acting to direct his film. I assume he'll go back into acting as soon as it's done. Which will probably be by the end of the year. If he gets back to acting im sure it will be with something fresh and worth going back, like a big paycheck for something he hasn't done. Star Wars or Batman fits that criteria. Of course im just assuming.

I do see him taking Star Wars over Batman though. But both would probably have him signing to a 3 film deal.

Awesome avvy, it's crazy seeing something I made being used like this. It's awesome!

Direct link to the vid for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Ah it was you who made the video? I just saved it and couldnt remember what thread it was in. Thanks very much! I was looking for a new avvy for ages and when I saw it I tried to make it in to one. Took a while... :D GIF making isn't my thing.

I don't think Man from Uncle is happening and if it does I don't see Cavill being in it anymore. Superman/Batman is more important to Warners.

I'm starting to have my doubts about Man From Uncle too.

Isn't Ritchie making another Sherlock Holmes next year? Or did I pluck that from thin air? If he is I doubt U.N.C.L.E will be made if it is constantly in development hell.

Well, I don't know. Warner may be afraid to invest in this film especially after what happened with Lone Ranger.

Bad for Cavill, who could have the chance to show work in another role than Superman.

During the press junket for Lone Ranger, Hammer mentioned filming with Cavill in Sept. I read some article that also mentioned Sept. But the project has stalled so many times. I wouldn't be surprised if it stalled again.

Idk, we'll see in the upcoming weeks whether it's being made or not because Cavill said it starts shooting in August.

No problem! Glad someone is using it.

There's no sign of it. My girlfriend loves those movies, so announcement of it will probably be communicated to me by screaming from the drawing room.

A thought just popped into my head, maybe they are cutting the budget because Cruise is out and they smartly realized that spending 150mil on every movie isn't a good idea? Maybe all the studios will realize that after 2013.

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but perhaps whoever they get for Batman is someone who is at a higher status of recognition than Cavill. Because not only could people be a but thrown off that Bale isn't back as Batman, they might be a little displeased with it. Using someone more recognizable and likeable may assuage any dislike. That way when they find out, it may be easier to embrace more. That is, if they think he's a good choice. Because people seemed to have really embraced Bale. That's why Gosling or Gyllenhaal is a good direction to go in.

I think some actors are just too flashy to play Batman. Can we imagining a young actor playing justice league and at the same time playing Batman solo adventure? It don' t fit at all. I think they should take an actor above 35 and if they won't to do Batman solo films then a young flashy actor is plausible. Batman is a symbol, Batman don' t need to be flashy and young all the time. Is a myth a legend. Man can die but legend never die.

For the right price Gosling would put off a break. Only a mad man would turn down Robert Downey Jr Iron Man money. Disney and Warner Brothers might be in a bidding war over him. If thats the case I hope he chooses Batman. I have very low hopes for a Star Wars movie directed by JJ Abrams. But a Batman directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300, Man of Steel)? Now that is interesting.

For that reason Doctor Jones, they'll approach the big names like Gosling, Fassbender and Gyllenhaal. And if they say no, they'll move on down a bit to Bentley, etc.

Bluearth, I think Batman is more interesting to me and Ryan knows hes wanted for the role. I even saw an interview where he's talking about batman riding the batpod and how he worked with the stunt guy and then the interviewer tells him he should be the next Batman. And he was all like oh that's a nice thing to say, thank you! Ive also heard that the studio had their eyes on him for this Bat reboot. But Star Wars could be a personal thing for Ryan since he's a fan and was brought into the business by Disney.

Seriously?

That's crazy, your denial is admirable, though. :p

I'll say Samuel L. Jackson. :o
