Its not a question of of whethe or not he is capable.
As long as Fassbender is contracted for the X-Men films ,
Fox wont let him go.

What if XMDOFP is his last movie as young Magneto? You don´t know.
And I don´t think it would be impossible for him,for example, to jump out of a project for another one...
How many actors have exchanged a project with another? Several.
It's not impossible. That´s why I do not desconsider him, yet. :yay:

If they are going DKR route, it would be so cool if Keaton came back for the role i.e. X-Men Days of Future Past cast.

C'mon, the actor would be too old to be in a trilgy or in Justice League then.
I don't know if you realize it's demanding to be Batman.
So I can't see an old man playing it.
I'm afraid of a death during the filming. I would not be the first time...
Plus, it's not convincing to see an old man fighting, above all against this new dashing superman.
Cavill is fresh, we need a fresh Batman too.

Go Matt!! Go!!

Darn! Here I thought someone else wanted a Batman that runs a lot. :o

why are people under the impression we are getting another batman trilogy tdkr was just last year for god sakes:huh:

I`m totally on the Keaton bandwagon. He is probably the only other name besides Bale that would really get people excited for this film.

3 years after TDKR, I have no interest in seeing a different Batman but Keaton would totally change that. It`s wishful thinking but it be really cool if they tied the MoS universe into the Burton Batverse.

I would be so happy to see Keaton as Batman, HIS Batman, that I would cry.

Keaton could STILL do it. And do it convincingly. He's a terrific actor and one of the most underrated, IMO. He has great range.

Ever heard of a stunt double? I was implying if they go the DKR route, that Keaton would be an amazing choice to bring back to the role. Every grown man who saw B89 would **** himself if Keaton did come back. Me included.

It can be done in filmmaking, anything is possible. I think Keaton has another good 5 years at least physically for such a role and you know what? He would probably be more open to the idea than Bale. He wanted a story similar to Begins. I say IF they go with a DKR story, he would be a dream choice.

Yeah, they need a household name. I don't think Kilmer would get people excited as much as Keaton would if they did do a DKR story... it's just a suggestion though. Would he be up for it? Who knows. I think he would be open to the idea if the story was right.

I like Keaton as an actor but hell no. He has never been my ideal Batman in any way. It's not going to happen anyway but I'd thought I'd give my two cents.

You gotta get a seasoned actor but within reason. Not Keaton who's in his 60's (though he looks good for his age). Now you're too extreme, people.

Is it even in any way confirmed that it is definite that an older actor is a lock? I still feel that this should be a Batman well within Cavil's age range. No more than 2-3 years younger or older. The film will most likely take place about a year to a year and a half after MOS. I have no problem thinking Batman could be more than prepared enough for a meeting with Superman by that point. He may not have the experience some would want, but his years of preparation to be a one man war on crime and corruption are nothing to sneeze at either. To my mind by one year into it, Bruce has taken out the legs of the mobs and gangs of Gotham and now the supervillains are just starting to fill the void. In any case, a young Batman is my druthers for a variety of reasons.

Just to add this: I hope this Batman is one that has been in some shape or another preparing to fulfill the oath he made to himself as a child. Batman should be shown to be so driven that he has been on his path since a young age. That makes his almost (screw it, it's not almos it IS) super human fighting, acrobatic and detective skills more believable if you highlight the length of time he has been honing himself. There should not be anything like Bale's, "hey, I guess I'll wait until I've finished college to start on that whole hero's journey stuff."

My pick for an older Batman (If Bale doesn't want to return) is Anson Mount.

Thats not a bad call there. Only Gosling, of the ones said I like better. I still would prefer Batman closer to Superman in age. Even Lex I don't think should be that much older. Jon Hamm would even push it.

I'd prefer a Superman and Batman around the same age but I can deal with an older Batman. Also I don't think 40ish is old and a 40ish year old Batman wouldn't be so much older than Cavill's Superman in the first place. I mean I doubt they are going to cast a 50-60 year old actor.
