Jeez. I gotta admit. That profile just looks so much better than every shot we got in Nolan's trilogy. It's just Batman straight from the page. Nolan never got the cowl right. I really think Snyder does have the potential, and will bring us the best Batman visually. I just know he can do that.

I'm not worried about the casting. Snyder brought us Henry Cavill who was perfect casting and portrayed modern (post-Crisis) Superman flawlessly.

Keaton/Burton's Batman looked like the Batman ripped from right out of the comics, the 70s, Neal Adams era Batman in a lot of shots. Nolan's cowl always looked funny to me and always looked like a guy dressing UP like Batman - Keaton looked like a damn creature, as Batman is supposed to look:

Thought this pic was cool, and proof that somewhere there's a pile of deleted scenes no one has seen:

That's not taking anything away from Keaton, I loved Keaton's look but Bale had his own badass-ness.

i agree kevin keaton's bat looked like a creature in the night but it also helps burton has a very mysterious gothic style

This, right here, looks like something right out of a Neal Adams/Jim Aparo Batman comic:

One thing I liked about the Burton bat suit is that the cape matched or looked like it was made out of the same texture the cowl was. I hate that they broke that up in the Nolan films, where the cowl is very clearly plastic and the cape is cloth like. I prefer leathery bat like looking cape and cowl.

Bale's Batman has his moments, but that cowl always looked funny to me. Something about the nose and the forhead. And the rest of the suit was always too busy looking, and looked like something a biker or stunt bike rider would wear. Why even bother putting a bat sign on it?

I hope we get something similar to Synder's Nite Owl costume. That was pretty awesome.

I do wonder if we'll ever see a return to the leather cape.

Personally, I love both. The leather is more intimidating, but the cloth flows in the wind which leads to some epic visuals that look ripped right out of a comic. Plus the whole memory cloth idea was really cool.

Now that we've established a Superman with a cloth cape I wonder if they'll have Batman follow suit, or take him back into his 90s style to play up the contrast between the two.

He's smaller than I remembered he was. He looks like a toy. lol

I love him, liked the Batman 89, but he has never been Batman for me.

Armitage was up for Doctor Who.
He didnt get it .
So , Armitage is still in play .

I completely agree.

I want so badly to see any and all Burton films deleted scenes.

You and me both.

I think one of the pics actually is a toy (top one). I remember seeing that in my search and was like "oh, well, ****it, looks cool anyway".

I want the cape, cowl, gloves, and boots (and leotard area) to all match as far as material goes, or at least be as close as possible.

I think Josh Brolin is the man for this.

To me, Bale is the best live-action Bruce Wayne for the late 20's to late 30's Bruce. He was also the best "rookie Batman" we'll probably ever see, in Begins with that voice and suit.

But Keaton is the best primed up Batman who was in his 30s.

We have yet to see the seasoned mid 40s Batman or Bruce Wayne. If we can get someone like Brolin who is an established actor with the chops, has the look and physique, he could be known as the best grizzled Batman in live-action. Comparable to Kevin Conroy in animation. All you need to complete this is for the writers to write Bruce as the world's greatest detective. Then get the designers to create the ultimate bat suit that's close to animation. THEN at last, get a director (Snyder might be able to pull this off) who shoot amazing fight scenes with fantastic choreography. If you put all of that into a blender, you have the best Batman/Bruce Wayne of all time along with something the world hasn't seen before.

Brolin would also nail the voice.

I dont post much bit this was the forst thing i read when i logged on and i have to say...It's brilliant
Thank you kind sir! Im sure there's a couple who share my thoughts too though. It really is the way to go.

i don't think we will the mysterious creature of the night batman anymore that dark, damp, gothic look alot of films in the 80's and 90's had

movies like spawn, the crow, the shadow,se7en,etc. also had that look

i would love to see it again honestly

My favorite thing about the burton costume was where the cape ended. Kinda like blade. This oversized bathrobe thing has never sat well with me.

Thanks, but that can't be the whole scene.
