My top choice is Wes Bentley. I am against having a 40+ year old Batman, because by the time the JL movie will be out, Batman would be pushing 50. You can still have an experienced Batman at the age of 35, because Batman started his career at age 27. I like Bentley, because he looks like Bruce straight from the comics and has that sinister vibe to him.

My, the pics are terribly dark.
I mean, it seems to me, since it's dark, you think it's Batman because Batman is sooo darrrkkk tooo.
Why not make a movie where every scenes will be dark? In this way, we will be sure it's gonna be a really daaarrrkkk movie :D

I agree for the cape. Too long in TDKR. With a shorter one, it looks like Batman is taller.

Hey, guys, Henry was 28 during the filming of MOS. And in the movie he is 33. It's not about how old they are, but more about how old they look like. But you know, make up can fix some things (make you older or younger). But it won't change the fact if the actor is too old, he won't be physically ready to be Batman.

Tiffani Amber Thiessen as WW??

I like her so much. But too old and too short.

Mangianello? No, thank you. The guy is plenty easy on the eyes, and has quite the physical presence, but his acting skills are lacking. Gosling just doesn't have the physical presence. Too small, soft, pretty. Brolin would be cool, but something about him just doesn't click for me.

Haha yeah. Still my favorite live action Batman though. :woot: Lol...which I guess says a lot. :cwink:

I wonder just how much this film will address the events in MOS. Part of me, since it's a Superman/Batman film, would kind of be okay if hardly anything was addressed with MOS at all and they just focused on Superman and Batman in the present like what we'd imagine a Superman & Batman movie to be.

The other part of me would be kind of like "wha-?", but I wouldn't complain much really since it'd be a Superman/Batman movie (and hopefully as awesome as that sounds). Most of my "expectations" or hopes of them following up on the events in MOS went out the window with the kind of disappointment that MOS wouldn't get direct Superman sequel. I kind of feel like "why bother" now in a way and bog a Superman/Batman movie down with that. The events of previous Batman films won't be touched on in it, I'd kind of rather them just go into it "fresh" if you will with both, and just start it off with the status quo of each character. I half think it would be better that way.

It's not my favourite live action version but its the one I grew up with. I have really fond memories watching this as a kid.

Well I get the feeling Superman killing Zod will most likely be questioned by Batman or Lex or both so I think it could tie into the plot.

Gosling has more the physical presence than everybody mentioned other than Manganielllo. Who should not be playing him at all. The only think that does not click about Brolin for me is that he is 10 years too old and not tall enough.

MATT BOMER!! :D

Keep in mind we need to choose a good Bruce Wayne since we'll only see Batman wearing his costume. (and we don't see clearly his body under the costume)

Nobody else can be a perfect Bruce Wayne.

The older I got the more I liked Bale though, I will say. I just think Keaton did the best live action Batman as far as voice/personality, etc, goes.

And in a MOS sequel I'd have wanted them to dive into the destruction of Metropolis bit and how it was rebuilt, etc. They don't really acknowledge it in MOS. The whole Superman killing Zod thing is realistically the one thing people in MOS world should question the least as far as Superman's actions go. It will be ridiculous to me if they build most of the Superman arc around "he killed Zod! Bah!". I think I'd hate that. In the situation the writers put him in that was the only thing he could do. People in the "real world" would be grateful.

Yeah, but he has to be Batman too.
I dont see Bomer as Batman.
And, as Wayne, he looks like a Bale Clone .

I agree in some ways and Keaton's voice was way better than Bale's which just got more ridiculous as the films went on.

I think they will, I think it's definitely gonna feature Kex and Goyer's already confirmed the Lex in the MOS world is a billionaire etc so I think we'll see him having rebuilt or in the process if rebuilding Metropolis.

I don't think they'll build it around him having killed Zod but I wouldn't be shocked if it was used against him to mess with his emotions.

I'm surprised Bomer is such a popular choice on here. I like the guy but he does not give off Batman vibes to me, more of a Superman feel.

Brolin is a little too old for my taste but he is a good actor and if the story is good I wouldn't cry about his being cast.

I think Joe M being on the list is b.s personally, I just cannot see such a dumb looking guy being on the list for super genius Bruce Wayne. I'm not calling Joe M dumb himself I'm saying that he doesn't read as super intelligent on camera. It's like Jessica Alba as Sue Storm to me. If you don't read a certain way on camera you just don't, tough cookies.

I think Joe M is only on the radar because he was up for Supes I refuse I don't believe he is really up for Batman as I just don't see those qualities there and I'm giving Snyder and crew the benefit of the doubt that they foolishly don't see the Batman quality that doesn't exist.

I originally liked Bomer as a choice, he certainly has the look for Bruce but I think he's a bit too vanilla overall to be Batman. And he looks really youthful, which runs counter to the whole "going older" thing.

Still team Brolin over here.

Mickael Keaton did not seem a Batman to me either.
But again, that changed when I saw him in the suit.
Actually even with the suit he sometimes looked ridiculous.
Too small, too thin, not enough charisma, at least to me.
And Keaton being Bruce Wayne? No way! I could not stop laughing seeing him acting like a playboy! 'mon, he ain't beautiful at all!!

Everybody could be terrifying with the batman suit.
Watch some cosplays, you'll understand what I mean!

How can we know? We need some screen test before to decide it!
Of course, he looks vanlla in some roles, not so much in another ones.
It's like you say to me: "We can't take Cavill to be superman. Superman shoul be able to fight. I saw Henry in Whatever works. He is too vanilla."

And he looks more and more old. In some years, he will be in his forties.
And there are lots of ways to make him appear older if necessary.

I`m totally on the Keaton bandwagon. He is probably the only other name besides Bale that would really get people excited for this film.

3 years after TDKR, I have no interest in seeing a different Batman but Keaton would totally change that. It`s wishful thinking but it be really cool if they tied the MoS universe into the Burton Batverse.

Ugh please no, I don't want them to ruin MoS by tying it into those terrible movies.

Yeah agreed I think Matt Bomer would have a great Superman but ultimately I'm glad we got Cavill.

Brolin for the older guys is my top choice.

Yeah on the BOF podcast they said that Joe M's people probably out that out there just cause he's really interested. Agree on the seeming dumb on camera thing

Dont go bashing Burton .
The Burton films showed that there was money not only to be made in Batman films,
but Superhero films in general.
If the Burton films had not happened, The Nolan films wouldnt have happened .

Bomer does seem a little too "pretty boy" for me. I'm not sure about the range of his acting abilities, but if he can get a darker/more sinister look in his eyes I'd be more willing to give him a chance.

Everything I've watched in him so far makes me view him as Superman more so than Batman. Good old boy scout persona.

I actually didn't realize Gosling was around 6' tall until... just now. Thanks, Internet! I thought he was short. Whoops. Anyway, he still doesn't do it for me. Blonde and that sweet of a face? The shape/angle of his jaw structure does nothing for me when I think of him as Batman. Everything about him just comes off as too sweet to me.

Brolin looks like an actual 1800s cowboy lol. I just dont see Bruce looking like a southern country man. Hes just LOOKS too old for me.

I must admit, I have never considered the angle of jaw structure
as an important factor in choosing the next Batman.
I suppose it is though .

I'm glad someone else sees what I see, an actor begging for a potential star making role and having his people put out rumors of him being on a list.

Yeah happens alot more than people think too.

Joe M.: out of the question!
WTH with this guy?
He has a weird regard! O_O
He scares me!
Not a good Bruce Wayne at all!!

Ok, Batman is a "terrifying creature" (do you realize it's just a guy dressed as a bat? Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?) but a man who looks like a bodyguard who could break your bones, it's not Bruce Wayne at all! O_o
Someone who is sad and lonely because of his past, not because he is so strong that people are afraid of him!

Not even believable!!
I liked Bale for the fact in Batman Begins, he seems so sweet as young Bruce but so strong as batman!! :) Very good! :)
And Bale did not need to be super-muscled.

What does that bother now? Is it because of Henry's shape in MOS?
That can be worked.

It looks like a plan to make people watch a lot of pics of muscled men, who normally seem all dumb when they are so muscled.

Go Matty :)
