Sam Witwer people. He does brooding, charming and dangerous sometimes all in one scene on SYFY's BEING HUMAN. Very talented, respects genre fiction and he looks like a YEAR ONE Bruce more than even Bale did to me. Somebody post a pic of him to illustrate. He's good people. Also, he's young enough to only be approaching 41 or so by the time a JL film rolls around.

Sam UnWorthington is one of the worst actors ive ever seen. I would never even attempt to buy the blu ray nevermind seeing it in theaters.

Somehow , I dont think we have to worry about Worthington getting this role .
His career seems to have cooled off considerably.

while i think he's be a terrible bruce i have been watching early seasons of supernatural and jefferey dean morgan has a very big batman vibe

his character is filled with paranoia and doesn't trust many people at all and in his mind their is evil everywhere that must be vanquished and is possessed with revenge and can be a dick at times

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a great actor, he nailed it as the Comedian and that was a multi-layered character, just like Batman. Emotionally troubled but bad ass and he delivered in both. The only reason people don't like him is because i guess he is no leading man but have you watched Magic City ? Interesting show and a great performance. The complaint that he looks too much like Javier Bardem is BS.

To me his the ideal older Bruce/Batman.

What I wonder about is the options contract for the new Batman actor.

WB wants to re-launch Batman and given what happened with Bale and Downey, contracted only for 3 films, will they insist the new actor option himself for 5 or more films? Will an established actor do that? It amounts to doing Batman for the next 15 - 20 years.

Batman like Spiderman and IronMan and Bond are permanent franchises. They will be making these films 30 years from now.

Andy Garfield is signed for like 5 films - but Sony is putting out Spiderman every 2 years so he will burn through that in 10 years. WB goes more slowly.

WB is probably kicking itself it didn't contract Bale for more and same with Marvel and Downey.

I saw one of those once. It was incredibly stupid. Though maybe it's improved over the years... this was back when Batman Returns came out.

I remember the one I saw had the Joker and Vicki Vale in it (which was strange, since they launched it when BR came out). All I remember was Vicki Vale kung-fu fighting with the Joker's thugs (WTF?) and Batman driving a plastic knock-off Batmobile in a circle constantly.

I don't know if I'd rather have Sam Worthington or Scott Adkins as Batman. Both of those ideas are just unimaginably bad.

Sam Worthington can't do an American accent and he's only been decent in Clash of the Titans. He wasn't good in Terminator Salvation or Avatar.

Scott Adkins isn't even barely an actor. He played Deadpool in X Men Origins, under all that make up. That's his claim to fame. doing the stunts for Deadpool.


Yeah Scott Adkins isn't going to be cast... bad idea

Witwer has been my favorite choice for a while now. I certainly think he could be a good batman and hope he gets cast so he can prove it.

Wasn't it Snyder himself that said that Superman is the first hero in this universe and it paves the way for other heroes to start announcing themselves to the public? I would think, in that, we'd have a similarly aged Bruce in comparison to Cavill. Also, as someone pointed out, this will be the beginning of a long contract. Would it be possible to maybe make someone look older and go with a younger actor? Not saying he's my pick, but what about Liam Hemsworth? At least its a new name for debate.

We're going off of the hollywood reporter's article saying wb is looking for an older Batman.

The hollywood reporter is very reputable.
