bland, boring, wooden, these words don't begin to describe Hunnam in Pacific Rim keep him far the **** away from this. The body is nothing, the acting is everything!

Joey Man at least the skills and the passion to bring his A game to the role. He would at least pique my interest.

Manganiello is generic beefcake, but his acting skills didn't impress me in True Blood. He's got the physique, but I'd like an actor who can embody or disappear into the role. Not some grizzled stud.

I like the Karl Urban suggestion. He can do the gravelly voice as well as Bale, and he's got tha superhero chin going for him.

I would go with someone older and more grizzled than Cavill. It'll never happen, off course, but someone like Ron Pearlman or Mickey Rourke. But in my mind, Batman's already been operative for years before Superman was doing the twist.

I hate casting threads, since they're usually really horrible choices. And I won't contribute to that aspect.

I do hope they go for a middle aged guy, though. Not necessarily grizzled, but stay away from the young 20-something star of tomorrow. Cavill already seems young. Batman needs to contrast him and will probably be the "bad guy."

I said in Batman thread, after somebody posted a picture of Gosling. I doubt it's possible to get him unless the script is really, really good. He is the right age, and physically would be perfect in the suit.

Maybe Snyder should look at the shortlist of actors Nolan had when he was originally casting Batman Begins as well as the actors considered for the aborted Batman projects before then. I think we can omit actors like Cillian Murphy, Henry Cavill, and David Boreanaz from that list.

It's a tough act to follow, casting another actor as Batman so soon after Christian Bale's turn in the cowl. You don't want to tread on his toes, but make the role your own.

i want Bale too. the question is will he come back to the role? i know he's repeated himself over and over that its OVER, but for a guy who totally defined the role-- and for something that is NEW as far as Batman is concerned-- couldnt they talk him into it? money may not work (Bale is an idealist) so maybe pledge animal shelters or smth as part of his deal?
