Well, Superman fans have a certain variety to choose from, but mostly from television. Their movie franchise is of one continuity and tone, so in that respect they're unlucky.
But there's Kirk Allyn (sp), George Reeve, Chris Reeves/Brandon Routh, TAS, Doomsday, JLU, JLA: NF, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Superboy... They've got stuff.
But when you look at Batman: Adam West show, the Burton films, the Shumacher films, the Nolan films, TAS, The Batman, JLU, JLA: NF, the 2 movies before Adam West, Birds of Prey(? Nah, not really).
Plus, we need to take into consideration that Superman hasn't been changed as drastically as Batman, throughout his history, so even the aforementioned Superman franchises aren't very different from each other.
Spiderman is almost exactly the same through the years, even more that Superman.
So what if Adam West was campy? It was very faithful to the CANON comics back then. It is legit, it is Batman. So is BF and B&R. Sure, the argument "But we only get a movie every 3 years, so why screw it up?" is a sound one, but I think the variety, ignoring the factors that brought it about, is ultimately a good thing, almost a privilege.
PS: We only need a Batman TV series. I mean, if we're getting a Star Wars one, which I thought impossible, we should get a Batman. Perhaps after Nolan is done, they can do a semi-continuation of hsi trilogy/duology/whatever...?
