Socko Im agreeing with you 100% on this one, sexuality should have nothing to do with how a director makes a film, yes BF has very sexual overtones but on both male and female accounts. I personally like Superman Returns and the first two Xmen films alot, and Bryan Singer is gay too, and I think hes a great visionary.

There's a topic for this already, but basically I3ATIVIAN is being a tool, understands nothing about homosexuality, the production of BF, or indeed the world in general.

I liked O'Donnell, I don't think Alan Cumming would have been better. Jude Law might have been interesting though...

All in all though, I liked O'Donnell in BF, I thought he did a really good job.

I liked him alot in BF, not in B&R really though, they really toned him down to a childish level..."Cowabunga" anyone?

The Robin suit in B&R was perfect, too bad they had to make it black and red. He was seriously more Nightwing than Robin. The BF colors with the B&R would have been perfect.

I liked the B+R costume a lot as well, it was a natural progression and a surprising nod to the comics.

I did like the B&R suit quite a bit, but most felt like it ripped off the Nightwing character a lot without him really being Nightwing at all, actually way far from it.

Really? I didn't even think of it like that, to me it was a good thing.

Bad example on these boards. Many don't like Singer around here (I like him very much, though).

So do I...I dont care if the haters dont like him, I always like to say The Hell With Them lol.

Well, it's a matter of opinion, naturally.

I was just saying that McKellen is more universally liked than Singer, especially around here, so people have and might again blame him for stuff because he's gay.

well...I think there's a lot of prejudice here that I'm unaware of.
I like his work.

Well most of the people on these boards are one-sided as it is. I stress the word MOST too, not all.

He doesn't get as much crap as Schumacher does, but he, like Raimi is no longer as widely accepted as before.

I agree with that, Raimi's stock nosedived after SM3 which is, well, understandable.

Schumacher gets too much stick, BF has so much potential but everyone ignores that just goes with the standard 'omgz!!11!!one! the batsuit had teh nipplez!!!one1!'

I really didn't give a damn about that. It was really Jones' and Carrey's perfomances that ruined that film for me (although, I DID love how Jim played Nygma before he became the Riddler).

I still admire Raimi. I got no problem with him and I like Spidey3 (I don't love it, tough).

And a DC version of BF being long overdue is an understatement.

I feel Raimi was better in his Evil Dead days but thats just me. SM2 is one of my fav movies of all time, but sometimes you just get let down so hard
(SM3), it changes your whole judgement on a director etc.
