Batman killed Two-Face...

But then, what's logical about risking your own neck to save a madman if your character has been proven to kill in his pursuit of justice?

Well, perhaps I'm reading too much into it as a fan of the comics (since the relationship is barely there at all in the films), but I always assumed that if movie-Batman would have a soft spot for any villain, it'd be Two-Face. Truth be told, I only gleaned this with prior knowledge and one line - "Give it up, Harvey. You need help."

Perhaps he lost any remaining sympathy for Harvey after he killed the Graysons, who knows.

Agree 100% with that, he was Harvey's friend both as Batman and Bruce, I think he'd feel the closest connection to him. But when a guy's killed as many as Two-Face, sometimes friendship isn't enough...

It seems entirely consistent with the first franchise's Batman that he would deliberately murder Two-Face. He was perfectly willing to punch Joker over the side of the cathedral, nuke a chemical plant full of thugs, and strafe downtown Gotham with machine guns and missiles (where we do see an onscreen death). In Batman Returns he immolates a clown for breathing fire at the batmobile, and handily disposes of a bomb by using it against a strongman. None of these situations are kill-or-be-killed (except MAYBE the strongman.).
So, considering Two-Face had a gun on him, and this situation took place on a narrow metal framework inside a death-trap, I can't imagine Batman thought it would end differently.

The only real question is how he moved around the last twenty minutes of the film without a constant "chink" of all those coins in his pouch.

I don't think he killed Harvey, his costume is seen in B&R next to the Riddler's, he's alive IMO.. probably paralyzed but alive.

^ That's the strongest argument for Two-Face surviving, his suit did indeed appear.

His suit being in Arkham doesn't mean a thing. It means they have a Two-Face suit. For all we know, it's the suit he wore when he was incarcerated before he escaped Arkham circa BATMAN FOREVER and then died. It's just a bit of an Easter Egg.

Seems like a pretty strong implication. Why would it be at Arkham?

Thats where Harvey was incarcirated at originally, so his old stuff would probably still be in the holding area.

Yeah, I guess since Two-Face is set up without any implication of how long he's been around in Batman Forever; his arc starts in medias res (or in the middle of things)

So he must have had two of the same exact suits then.

^:hehe:

Anyway, there's no way Two-Face could've survived that fall. Let's not forget that they're were lots of rigid, pointy rocks in that watery grave. He was gull feed :p .

But we never see him hit the rocks, indeed from his hand grabbing the coin it seems that he fell into the water...

I haven't seen BF in a long time but I'm pretty sure he didn't just "fall on water" .... When they show his hand you can clearly see rocks there. It was a pretty big fall. And he fell....On rocks. With water, of course.

Yeah...very doubtful anyone could survive that.

You never see him hit the rocks, and the finaly scene is hand comes out beside a rock, suggesting he narrowly avoided it.

Well, it's a "kids" movie, they are not allowed to show the man literally hitting the rocks :wow: but it is definitely implying that he's dead. How could you survive that? Also, they cut back to Robin, who has a look of satisfaction on his face, another hint that the man actually died.

He could survive if he hit the water. I'm not giving this as a 100%, but in fairness, and in order to see both sides of the argument, the rocks are haphazardly placed in the pool of water at the bottom, making it perfectly logical and justifiable for him to miss the rocks altogether and hit the water instead....

Does it really matter? He was a ****** Two-Face anyway. Shouldn't we be all glad that he's dead and we don't have to endure another Schumacher Film? Let's all look forward to the next Two-Face that won't be turned into comic relief.
