Batman OYL discussion thread

Guess we should've seen it coming since Miller's quote to hype the book was something like, "there's alot of hot chicks in this one."

I'm just glad they aren't all ****es.

Wagner, Dini, and Morrison. That's all you need.

Yeah the pacing on this is slow, just wait.

I thought the ending to it was kinda abrupt....and kinda creepy, too. But, it was a great story.

I'm hopped onto Wagner's bandwagon the day Monster Men #1 came out.

The last time I heard that was during the Azz/Lee run on Superman. :(

Well, if you haven't read it, lemme just say it sucked an incredible amount of ass. :o

True, it reads better once you have the whole story but better as in it suck a lot of ass not an incredible amount of ass.

I dunno......I was diassapointed by it, but re-reading it now....it's not all bad.

I just wish we'd had gotten something more....."traditional", ya know? Like...MORE Clark......MORE Lois.....I mean, where the **** was Jimmy? Or Perry?

****in Jeph Loeb's HUSH had more of Perry and more Jimmy......and Perry only showed up for 2 panels...and Jimmy didn't even show up. But, his presence was there. Why? Cause he's the Goddamn Jimmy Olsen.

Lmao....I could see Morrison's ALL STAR Jimmy saying that.

Really? I've been looking to get the tpbs but if it's that bad I think I'll keep my money.

Well, if your a ****e for Jim Lee's art.....like me, then you'll probably love the book for the artwork. Could be worth it, depending on where you are on the specturm.

It's just...nothing happens in the whole thing. I mean, I had no problem with nothing happening in Lex Luthor: Man of Steel cause the insight into the character was so facinating, but For Tomorrow didn't even seem to have that. Except for maybe the Priest character.

True.

And, I love storytelling....I really do. If the story, and character development and everything else works....I'm in. Superman Returns, for example, wasn't as action packed as it could have been.....or had fights........but I was in, casue the story kept me there.

With FOR TOMORROW....like you said, nothing really happens. The final 2 issues were pretty good though, with Zod.

Batman definitely has some great talent working on him these days.

I'm really looking forward to Wagner's second mini, Mad Monk.

And, maybe, All Star will actually come out when it's supposed to...maybe, but I bet it'll get delayed and pushed back to December or something.

Like what's been happening with the past few issues.

Between Batman, Detective, and Mad Monk...Batman fans can have their cake and eat it too.

Kramer was good with the Face to face arc so I dont mind his art, but rather have JH back.

I think if ALL STAR can come around, and get on track, then Batman COULD be rounded character in comics......having like 3 or 4 titles that are GOOD to GREAT is something to be proud of.

Well.....it could get better....I mean, the Red Sox won the World Series....so, anything can happen.

Lets hope thats true for the lottery drawing tomorrow.

Nah, that won't happen. That's all scripted. It's like wrestling....only more boring.
