Batman:The Animated Series Tribute Thread

eh...i'm not big on Fear of Victory.
it seemed kinda....i dunno. something just doesn't tickle my fancy about that episode.

B/c he was betting on money and the players who were exposed to his fear gas?

maybe...it just seemed rather...i don't even know.
i think it works best when Scarecrow is making a character go through deep psychological stuff, not making petty bets on sports events he's rigging.

but he had a great reveal in that episode. very cool.

I loved this show and own all 4 volumes. The characterization of the character was perfect and they hit on so many of the dynamic relationships in the Bat-universe.

We got a new Mr. Freeze origin and the creation of Harley Quinn. That's just badass.

edit: How could I not make special mention of Mark Hamill's masterful performance as the beloved Clown Prince of Crime.:joker:
 :) Good avatar J.

I watched the show when it began in 93 (I think) and have been a fan of just that show ever since. Sure, I already was a fan of Batman with the B89 movie but this show was just perfect. Anyway, if any of you guys want to view and hear the original BTAS title cards, I've been putting them up on YTMND. Here's almost the whole list Click and Enjoy oh, but it does have some of my other creations in there.

For all the fans of BTAS is highly recommend this book:

Paul Dini / Chip Kidd: Batman Animated

It has many illustrations and gives you a lot of background info about the show and hwo it came to be.
I have it, good read.

I can really say that I did not like the TAS show Joker that much. He didn't kill and was too comical. I loved MOTP and ROTJ Jokers though.

MOTP Joker pwnd.
i love his liar in the abandonned amusement park

still need to find myself a copy of BMOTP on dvd here in europe
but did order the first volume of the animated series

You know what I wish? I wish that they did a live-action adaptation of BTAS. Have it look, sound, and feel almost the same. Get people who look like the characters, and have the original voice cast voice-over their dialogue. To what purpose you ask? other than it would be a box-office hit, I don't know....maybe the greatest fan film the world has ever known.
