I have a shelf full of Marvel Legends sitting here in my living room, and no. The quality of this Batman figure is nowhere near a ML. Heck, it's not even as good as a DC Collectibles figure. The sculpt is not very good and the articulation isn't in the same league.

ETA OK. Terrible is a little strong. But it's not very good. Single jointed elbows and knees and the hips are whacked.

That's putting it mildly. I saw the wave a couple of weeks ago, and Batman's fig is, by far, the worst. The headsculpt looks rushed, the eyes are enormous, and the paint apps are very sloppy.

However, the good news is that the armored Bats is fabulous. I'm not sure how that one was produced so well when the basic Bats looks thrown together and Supes looks like a repaint of the MOS Movie Masters fig.

The Armored Batman figure is good, but not great. It's a little skinny, imo. All of the figures are crap compared to MAFX, though. They ruined me for the Mattel figures.

Mafex is the Rolls-Royce of the 6" scale to be sure, but they aren't very well known outside of hardcore collector circles. That's the kind of line that once you get a taste for it, much like Hot Toys, is hard to go back to the retail store offerings.

Oh no. So much money is going to be spent at the concession stand...

Cant wait for these!

That is the truth. I almost wish I hadn't seen them so I could be content with Mattel and the cheaper price haha

There's a video on the link.

We are 66 days from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the superhero blockbuster is already revving its engines. And for those fans who like to proclaim their loyalties with something more high-risk than breakfast cereal, there’s flying down the straightaway at 190 m.p.h. On March 20, five days before Dawn of Justice opens in theaters, Hendrick Motorsports teammates Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will drive specially painted cars in the Auto Club 400 in California.

Johnson, the six-time NASCAR champ who’s been called the sport’s Superman, will get behind the wheel of a red and blue No. 48 Lowe’s Superman Chevrolet SS. Earnhardt, whose driven Batman and Superman themed cars in the past, gets to pilot a No. 88 Nationwide Batman Chevrolet SS this time. “I’m a Batman fan from way back,” Earnhardt told Fox in 2012. “I’d seen the first movie that they made with Michael Keaton, and every one after that, so I’m a fan of Batman and the Batmobile, and the Tumblers (here at the race track). Being a car guy, I can get into that part of the movie and understand the Batmobile as an icon of film.”
Earnhardt’s paint scheme will showcase the Batman emblem and textures of the Caped Crusader’s suit, while Johnson’s car will feature the iconic S-shield and Superman suit textures. Additionally, Earnhardt and Johnson will wear custom-designed superhero themed fire suits during the race weekend. (Unfortunately, they won’t be wearing cowls or capes.)
Johnson and Earnhardt are teammates, so it’s unlikely that one intends to make the other bleed, as Batman tells his rival in the trailer for the upcoming film. Like the Justice League heroes, they’ll ultimately shake hands after the race, but should they trade paint in the turns, there’s no saying who emerges on top.
In addition to giveaways and themed activities at the California race weekend, costumes from the film will be on display. Fans can purchase licensed Dawn of Justice Nos. 48 and 88 cars at participating retailers and online beginning Jan. 22.

Ah, Nascar... the most boring motorsport ever created.

Brings me back to 1995 with the Batman Forever Nascar car. I actually bought the model of the car just to add to my collection.

Lol I've always wondered what would happen if they... Turned RIGHT. You know, went the opposite direction on the track. :shock

I could only assume it would lead to mass confusion, mayhem, and destruction. Mostly from the spectators.

They would lose their minds. Mass hysteria and rioting lol

Re: Sightings down under

TheGoodDr over at the ozfigurama forums has reported seeing the "basic" 6" action figures and a "basic" 12" "Batman vs. Superman" two-pack at Toys R Us. The 6" figures are $18 each and the 12" two-pack is $50. Apparently there was also a label for the Batmobile, but none on the shelves.

No sign of the "deluxe" 6" or 12" action figures.

This is great news!

Wasn't sure if this had been posted on here already. $19.99 at Target, 1:24 scale and mostly metal diecast. The top opens and inside has two seats, inside is also already painted & the gun on the front moves.
Assembly is required. I preordered the $35 plastic model that requires paint & glue, but I think I'll just be putting this metal one together.

Also below is the BvS stuff I have already picked up mixed in with some other stuff. The metal diecast figures Target actually had in the wrong place so they were only $2.99 each! Lol had they been 9.99 I would of passed on them.

I got the 4 Bats vs Supes Multiverse figs, I think they are pretty cool. (The Supes is a repaint, but I still think it's cool)

RE: DC Collectables, I've had mixed luck...all of the Justice League Figs i have bought have been pretty great so far, but some of the Earth 2 figs? They BREAK on me! Believe me, I am not rough on them at all and my N52-Earth 2 Flash broke right out of the box....ARGH.
