Batman vs. ________.

All this talk about Batman and Superman... I kind of want to see someone ELSE going up against the Dark Knight...someone just as dark and "moody" as Batman, who isn't happy and cheery and funny like Supes, ya know?

So, here's what I'd love to see (someday):

Batman vs. THE SHADOW

Batman vs. THE CROW

Batman vs. THE PHANTOM

Any other ideas?

Did you have to pick the most embarrassing version of the Phantom ever?

I think Bats could probably take the Shadow. If we put them in the same universe, I'd say they studied under the same people, and they're both rich, so they both have access to all the latest tech. Tough fight. Not sure if there'd be a consistent winner.

WayneTech has recently developed an emo-goth-destructo-bomb, so Bats would use that to take out Crow.

I don't know nearly enough about the Phantom to intelligently discuss his ability to fight Batman.

The Shadow: (when asked why he was following Batman) "I was curious! I wished to determine if you deserved your splendid reputation! I am happy to state you fulfilled my greatest expectations!"
Batman: "I consider that a magnificent compliment, I've never told anyone this, but you were my biggest inspiration! I'd be honored to shake your hand."
The Shadow: "The honor is mine."
Mutual respect and a bit of hero-worship by Bats.

The Crow? Batarang the f**kin' bird. End of story.

The Phantom? After laughing for hours at his ridiculous purple costume, Batman would walk away holding his sides. Then the Joker would kill the Phantom for co-opting his favorite color.

I have always wanted to see a Batman VS Phantom, my other favourite superhero. In my version they would NOT become allies and friends. They're so similar it would be fun to find something real that keeps them at eat others throats.
